"Called in the morning to schedule an appt and they were able to send someone over that same day. As arranged, the plumber (John) called my cell as he was on his way (which was a little earlier than the estimated time frame) and was so kind to wait while I finished running a quick errand before meeting at our house. He was professional, honest, and did a beautiful job installing the new faucet. We would definitely use Randy Lane & Sons again for any future plumbing work."

"Once again Vincent outdid himself.  I called Friday because of a very leaking valve in the basement that led to a very leaky outdoor faucet.  At the last minute I added replacing the strainer in our kitchen sink.  Vincent was able to come the very next day, even though it was Saturday, with no extra charge.  He went to Menards for the parts for the sink as it was a non standard setup.  Then he removed the old valve downstairs and replaced it with a new type that is easier to use and does not leak.  This required cutting copper tubing and soldering the new piece in.  Then he replaced some worn parts on the outside faucet, and replaced the kitchen sink strainer making sure the sink would now old water and there were no leaks under the sink.  The very old and hard to access outside faucet is still dripping, but he offered to come back to check on it.  He was trying to repair it without ripping up any walls- but it is 28 years old.

"It went great. Dave arrived when he said. Showed me what the problem was. Fixed it. We discussed the faucet. He had a replacement in his truck. He replaced it and I am very happy with the results. He came back 1 week later to replace the outdoor faucet and replace the water heater. I am really happy with the results and work. He suggested a sort of squat shaped model of water heater because I have low ceilings in my basement and it really worked out well and increased the draw on the venting. So this should probably be two review. I think I can put in only 1 price but here is how it breaks down. $49 to repair the sink drain, $348 for the new kitchen sink faucet and install - really its like having a wonderful new sink really happy with this. $1295 for the short stance water heater and some new piping, and $395 for the new outdoor faucet and shutoff. Worth every penny. I can't believe I lived with that miserable slow kitchen faucet for so long."

"We were impressed with Plumbline from the start. Before bidding on the project, Roger brought in a plumber and an electrician to make sure that our plans for our 1921 house were possible and affordable. He and his team offered great advice as we worked out design and construction details. They respected our opinions and ideas, but weren't afraid to offer alternatives based on their deep knowledge and decades of experience. We did a complete remodel--down to the studs. Plumbline did the demo then put everything back together. Roger did an impressive job of managing the project, even as COVID-related supply-chain issues presented daily challenges. Plumbline changed the size of both windows, including adding a bay in one opening. They installed new doors and molding throughout. They coordinated installation of new cabinets, counters, floor, and appliances. They built two new closets. They rewired and installed new lighting. While they were at it, they also did a minor bathroom remodel, including installing new tile, sink, and other fixtures. They kept the dust and mess to a minimum, and made sure that the rest of our house remained livable. It truly felt like each and every member of the team was treating our home as they would their own. The best thing about Plumbline? Roger is an absolutely great guy. He responded to our many calls and texts quickly, he kept us updated on schedule changes and delays, and he was never, ever too busy to sit and review plans with us and answer our questions. He's smart, insightful, and a true professional. We plan to hire him for future projects, and we won't hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends."

"We hired Cabinets for Everyone to remodel two bathrooms and install new doors in our home. We met with Vlad and he put together a very reasonable quote for our project. After being burned by other contractors in the past, we were a bit leery but hopeful. Now that the work is complete, we are extremely happy with the final results. Both bathrooms are beautiful and just how we envisioned. The doors have really transformed our upper level. Yuriy was the main point man for our project. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is a true professional and went above and beyond for us. He’s a skilled craftsman and an extremely nice guy. I work from home and am picky so I’m sure he got sick of my endless questions! Joseph the tile guy is meticulous and did a great job. Vlad and Dmitri lent a hand during the remodel process as well. The whole team is customer-oriented and ensured we were satisfied with the results before final payment. We will be recommending Cabinets for Everyone to our friends and family—they are the real deal! Thanks to Vlad, Yuriy, Dmitri, and Joseph!"

"Bob does an excellend job. We first used him several weeks ago, as we needed a new water heater. He made sure we were only w/o hot water for less than a day. He delivered a new unit and stayed late into the evening to install. We just had him out again for a toilet repair. All was taken care of in a timely manner. Will call him again if we need a plumber!"

"After 15 years in my current home, I was finally getting granite countertops. I was so excited. I went to Paramount on the advice of a friend who had used them. From the start they were very helpful. They answered any and all questions I had. I looked at multiple granite places, and I ended up selecting my granite at another business. Paramount did an excellent job coordinating the delivery of the granite to their site in a quick and efficient manner. The gentleman that came to measure our kitchen was professional and on time. Paramount allowed me to come down to the company and they put up all three slabs they were using for my kitchen and put the template of my counters, island and desktops on them. They were patient and helpful in deciding where to cut the granite to get the maximum effect I was looking for. (Lots of movement). Along the way, I made changes - edges of the granite, backsplash changes and added sinks and faucets. They patiently updated my invoice and emailed me the updates to the project within an hour every time.  I never felt they were frustrated or upset with me, and they treated me with respect. The installers were on time and professional.  They did an excellent job and I love it. I have had many compliments on them and wouldn't change a thing. Thanks!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

While you can put Drano in a sink with standing water, most plumbers don’t recommend doing so. It usually doesn’t help to clear the clog, and you’ll end up with a sink full of standing water plus a toxic chemical—which is very unpleasant to deal with and best handled by a professional.

The cost to fix a leaky pipe ranges depending on location—the easier the pipe is to access, the less expensive the repair will be. Because a leaky pipe under the sink is typically an exposed pipe, this is one of the least expensive repairs for a plumber to do, often costing between $150 to $300 to fix, on average.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

Yes. You can replace just the stopper portion with a universal sink stopper. All you need to do is open up the existing stopper and pull it up from the drain. You should be able to remove and replace the stopper with bare hands. If the existing stopper seems to be stuck, use a pair of pliers to remove it.

Deteriorated seals, O-rings, or gaskets are common culprits behind a leaky sink after you’ve turned off the water—especially if your sink is older than 15 years. Inspect each of these mechanisms in your sink for signs of corrosion or looseness, then replace the worn-out part to fix it. Older sinks may be worth replacing if several of the parts are worn-out.
