By late November/early December we started to notice that it wasn't level. It was sagging in the middle so much so that a crease was forming in the middle of the table along the top of the slab. We notified Welcome in early Dec., it took them until late Jan to order a new one and it took until roughly late April/early May for a new table to arrive. To give a visual, at either end of the long side (72"), you could put down a match box car and it would automatically roll into the middle of the table. It turns out, the Amish failed to put a reinforcement beam along the length of the table on the underside. Our 2nd table arrived with a 5th leg in the middle. When it was delivered, I mentioned that the middle (5th) leg wasn't touching the floor. I was told that the weight of the table and gravity would press on it and it would touch. When I suggested that seemed wrong to me, the installers somewhat mocked me and said "Well you don't want it lower than all the other legs or the table will spin around like a top." I'd suggested that simply having all 5 legs touch the floor at the same time seemed like the best outcome. By early summer, I was sitting on the floor in the next room and happened to look over at the table from an angle below and saw that now the table looked like a C (it had looked like a U with the first one that was messed up). So I got out our 6 foot level and placed it on the top of the table. On either end of the table (long side again), the level was a good 1/2" ABOVE the table surface. The middle leg (5th) now not only didn't touch the floor but if you bump it with anything, it's so far off the floor that it will just wobble noticeably. I contacted Welcome AGAIN and didn't get any good response. A month later I called again to see what was happening and nothing. In Sept I had an email exchange with the "new" customer service manager who assured me I wasn't going to have to constantly harass them to get this problem resolved and he asked me for pictures which I sent, along with a video of the middle table moving with a bump to it because I can't get close enough underneath so show the gap between floor and table leg with my camera. 6 weeks went by and still nothing happened. I contacted them again and gave them times I would and would not be available to talk by phone so of course they called when I was unavailable. I finally got ahold of them today and their amazing resolution was that I can either live with a 2nd warped table (that cost $1600!) or they can take my table away and refund my money, leaving me with an empty kitchen except for the 6 chairs we purchased specifically for that table. They feel that either one is perfectly acceptable, that I should have to go and find someone new to create another custom table for me (if I can find someone) at whatever cost that might be and however much time it would take because they simply cannot manage to build a straight table. They are 100% unwilling to re-build a warped table simply because they've given me a shoddy piece of furniture twice, so now I should have to suffer. When I mentioned that the table is 1/2" lower at either end than in the center, the OWNER said "That's not much. That's fine." as if expecting a table to be level and straight is unreasonable. I have a solid oak table, much heavier, from the 1920s that's been moved all over creation. It extends to around 8' long. Guess what? It hasn't ever warped in either direction so clearly it's possible to make a heavy, straight, flat/level table. It's just that Welcome doesn't want to fix their mistake AGAIN, as if it's my fault they can't make a table well. I'd be happy to post a picture showing how the level looks on the table but there's no place to do so on this review. I will NEVER buy another thing from Welcome and caution anyone else. Part of my plan was to rip out the old water heater and to disaster proof the mechanical room floor so water would never make its way into the home if a pipe ever broke, if a hole developed in the softener or water heater, or if the AC/furanace and humidifier started dripping constantly. Originally, the mechanical room had no place for water to go if the worst occurred. Weld & Sons helped put together a plan that water proofed the floor by building the equivalent of a tiled shower floor with cement board, Red Guard, and porcelain tile. It included a new floor drain as well, which the room did not previously have. Once completed, I followed up with galvanized steel sheets on the wall, layered like roof shingles. Then everything went back in; new furnace, new water heater, new softener, etc. Weld & Sons was professional throughout the entire process. Everyone was exceptional at what they did. We even had a follow-up faucet replacement in the kitchen that they quickly added to the work schedule so they wouldn't have to charge for a follow-up trip. At the end of the project, they even followed up to make sure everything went the way I expected it to. A few of my neighbors say I can now entertain in the mechanical room. It looks pretty good, I have to admit. Thanks Weld & Sons. "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/minneapolis/weld-and-sons-plumbing-reviews-83948.htm"},"position":7}]}
Treehouse Building reviews from real Angi homeowners in Maple Plain, MN
Let me start with a perspective, then the essence of the work Tony and team did for me. I'm an experienced homeowner, and I've done a LOT of projects on my own as well as hiring out projects to large and small contractors over time. I'll simply say the whole process of working with Tony, Nick...
Jermaine was prompt, professional, friendly and able to patiently negotiate the draconian security gauntlet that this building administration demanded of him - just to fix a kitchen sink!

Are you ready to do something amazing with your home? Our innovative approach to design, material sourcing, and on-site construction helps you save money, gets projects finished quickly and leaves a mountain of value behind.
"The end result looks very nice, but the process for getting there was painful. Three points: 1. Project design: K2 did not verify that the toilet could be moved and still use the existing stack (which was visible). The design plan violated a simple plumbing rule and could easily have been discovered pre-project. Instead, K2 did not learn this until after the bathroom was gutted, the wall was moved and reframed. And, the custom cabinets were already onsite. This resulted in a major redesign, extending the project time by three weeks. 2. Project Timing: At contract signing (mid-Feb), the estimated project start date was mid-April with an estimated duration of 6 weeks. The project actually started in mid-June, and took 4 months. Three weeks are attributable to the redesign. Repeatedly, projected start dates were missed without any notification from K2. 3. Uneven quality of work: The finishing work, including the tiling and plumbing, was excellent; these K2 employees were very skilled and great to work with. However, some of the framing carpentry was terrible and needed to be redone multiple times. Some electrical fixtures were installed poorly and two were not connected properly in the attic. The subcontractor's installation of the quartz countertop took three trips, and the installation of the below-counter sinks needed to be corrected by K2."

"I am very pleased with results of my kitchen remodel project and would gladly hire Craftsman Renovations again anytime. All of the work was first rate and Dex and Mike were both professional and competent. They are very good communicators and I always knew what was to be done next and what I needed to do as well. All of the subcontractors were excellent and treated my property respectfully. Frankly, kitchen remodels can be difficult, but Dex and Mike made the experience as painless as possible. I would recommend them to anyone (and already have done so)."

"We got this company name from Angi’s List and signed a contract and made a down payment with St Croix Kitchen & Bath on March 27th. We were told work would begin in about 8 weeks and would take only 9-10 days to complete. It has now been over 6 months and we still can’t get a start date. A check with the permit office today shows a permit has not even been applied for. We regret ever signing a contract with St Croix Kitchen & Bath. They have had the use of our money for over 6 months now and seem unresponsive to our need to get this project done."

I help homeowners design and plan their remodeling project using my 25 years of experience in residential remodeling. Please check out many samples of my work at Houzz and my website. I create beautiful photo realistic images of their project completed with all their personal selections on finishes, plus complete architectural drawings for bidding, getting building permits and guiding construction. I put homeowners in charge of their remodeling projects by creating a very detailed plan so multiple contractors can bid on the same project so you can compare bids apples to apples.
"Bruce has done 2 projects for me. Both turned out great. He had great insight for the space, was prompt in making an appointment and in responses, and very reasonable in price. I would highly recommend Bruce."

We are a hands on construction company with 3 full time carpenters on staff and the best subs around. We Look forward to your call.
"This is the second time we have used Dan. He built us a gym, with a sauna install. We hired him back. He is without a doubt the most reasonable and quality I have ever worked with. He does not try to talk you into things, he actually talks you out to make sure he keeps you on budget. We got everything we wanted, and he built us a bar as well. He allowed us to do a few things to save on cost. He is kind, funny, direct, but open to what you want to do. He wants you to be happy with the end product. His subs are all vetted by him and they were all top notch. My only issue, was the delays with subs, but it is 2022 and we all need patience."

FAQs for treehouse building projects in Maple Plain, MN
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.
Typically, it’s more affordable to buy an existing home than it is to build a new one. New construction loan interest rates tend to be higher than interest rates for traditional mortgages. Additionally, the cost of materials is likely higher when building a new home than it was when an existing home was built (unless it’s a very new one). You’re also paying for all new appliances, finishes, permits, inspections, and connections for water, gas, and electricity.
Knowing if you need an architect for your project can be tricky, especially if you've never worked with one before. In general, small remodeling projects like replacing fixtures typically don't require the expertise of an architect. However, larger projects, like moving walls or adding an addition to your home, should include an architect to ensure the project is structurally sound.
The cost to build a detached garage for two cars costs about $26,400 on average. Prices range from $19,200 to $33,600, depending on your location, the garage size, height, materials, and site prep required. Additional cost factors include any plumbing, electrical wiring, and insulation. If you need to build a concrete foundation for a new detached garage, you can expect to pay $1,000 to $8,600 for this essential addition.
