"Damian and his crew did an amazing job on my basement. I had at least two other contractors flake out on me and I was thinking no one would want to tackle my basement. I had multiple floods in my basement and needed a lot of sheetrock repair. I also needed a stud wall, sheetrock and electrical run for a wall I had to tear down (sump pump and drain tile installed by someone else). They handled the job no problem. Communication was excellent, they showed up on time and I never felt like they were "in the way." The workers were always polite and they left a clean work space. If I ever need more work done I would not hesitate to call them again. I feel like I have my basement back."
"I contacted HW as a possible backup contractor. Even with that understanding, Al Lien came and independently reviewed the damage and said HW would be happy to hold their position as a contingent contractor. Very impressed with their forthright attitude and professionalism. Other contractor did come through. But I am certain I will use HW in the future. Thanks Al!!"

"GCM Inc. recently contacted us as a follow-up for their work last Fall, and the call reminded us how they are a customer-oriented company which strives to keep customers satisfied. They worked closely with us and the insurance company to carefully budget the work to be undertaken. During the work itself they directed sub-contractors and sought our approval for those sub-contractors' performance. GCM warranted the work per professional standards. There was a problem with securing the work on time and also a problem in bringing back a contractor to complete part of the work. GCM made good on what the sub-contractor failed to complete. Years ago we learned the hard way that storm-chasing contractors and laborers come and go with the weather. Now we insist that our insurance carrier works with the contractors we know and trust to do the work well. GCM Inc. is one to trust.
"Paramount Granite Company was a joy to work with! They offered an incredibly reasonable and detailed estimate (including options and their costs) within a day. When I visited their offices, I was treated with respect and courtesy. Barb answered my questions and showed me their slabs of granite (as well as the sinks and faucets they offer). I had already viewed slabs of granite at the various warehouses, but they had some beautiful pieces to choose from. I ended up picking a gorgeous piece of St. Cecelia granite from their selection, which just happened to be in the least expensive category. The whole process was made easy by Angie's prompt and helpful responses to my emails. Paramount was flexible with my schedule when we needed to postpone the installation by a week. On the day of installation, the workers arrived on time and worked quickly and excellently. I was impressed when they discovered (from a spec sheet they brought along) that the particular slide-in range we had chosen needed rounded corners for the opening. The worker finished the job except for this part, drove back to the office and returned within the hour with the rounded piece to complete the job perfectly! Paramount Granite Company is a first-rate company. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends. I am simply thrilled with my countertops and the excellent experience I had with Paramount. "
"Initial consultation was with Amy and my husband. Since I wasn't sure what styles were discussed in my absence, she quickly emailed me pictures of a few different options. I made multiple changes before the install date, and Amy took it all in stride. When it came to the first day of work, the demo guy came out to check out our existing chain link. Apparently it was more work than he thought and had to reschedule to come out a couple days later when he had more time. Due to a miscommunication and misunderstanding (we said we would take care of disposal of the old fence and they thought it meant we would entirely remove and dispose the old fence and then I didn't read the quote well enough to notice that they did not include removal in the price), it took a little bit longer than expected. No big deal, that's on us to more clearly communicate and read better! Once the old fence was taken out and the posts were set, the fence was up in little more than a day. The guy who put it up was SO fast, he motivated the other contractor we had building our deck. Wish I would have known that Artistic could have built that, too, because we would have loved to have that up in two days as well! Any issues or concerns I had in the process, I just called and talked to Mary in the office and she sorted everything out. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. All of our neighbors have come over to tell us how much they love our fence!
"The project started at the end of last summer. I met with Heinen Contracting as well as several other contractors, as this was a really bid deal for us. Right from the start, Greg gave us some really good advice, and we actually ended up changing the scope of work based on his direction. We had been planning this garage addition for a long time, but Greg's design was much better than what we originally wanted to do. It created a better flow from the garage to the house, and saved us a lot of money on materials and labor. He really knew what he was doing with the permitting, we pulled the permit ourselves, as homeowners, but we wouldn't have been able to do it without all his assistance. His office staff was helpful and always available when we needed advice. They started in the fall and were really good about keeping the job site clean, even after that first early snow when the mud got really bad. All of the crew were very professional and respectful of our space and privacy. The workmanship was top notch. They continued through the winter, with a lull over the holidays, as we requested. They got right back to work every day the weather would allow and we were all signed off and ready to use our new garage and additional space early this spring. We loved working with Greg. He was very responsive, very professional and most of all he has GREAT ideas and is very creative. He really knows his industry and it shows in the outcome. I will definitely call him again when we are ready to tackle another big project. "
"It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."
Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts
Yes, you can hang picture frames, shelves, and other items on Trusscore panels. For lightweight items (less than 30 pounds), the company recommends using adhesive strips rather than nails or screws. However, you’ll need to secure heavier objects to a stud in the wall. In these situations, Trusscore recommends cutting away the panel material and fastening the object to the stud with metal hardware.

For a professional carpenter, installing a window seat can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on some aspects of the project. Aside from building the seat itself, if they have to remove any cabinets, shelves, or baseboards, that will add time to the project.
By careful planning and reinforcement to maintain structural integrity.
Begin by analyzing the blueprints and gathering the proper materials before framing a house. With the prep stages behind you, begin by framing the floor of a house on the newly set foundation. Exterior and interior walls come next, along with rough openings for doors and windows. Contractors will then add ceiling and roof rafters to finish things off.
