"Summer 2021 we hired Peak Remodeling to remodel our master bath. We built our 2 story home the end of 1999, and our small master bath included a 36 neo angel corner shower, a single sink/vanity, toilet and a larger corner whirlpool bathtub. For 21 years we made this work, but rarely used the tub. We got bids from several companies and Peak was inline with the others. Ken from Peak came up with idea that we eventually went with, a large shower, a linen closet, dual vanity sinks and new flooring. Ken presented us with a 3D rendering upon a return visit to show us what it would look like upon completion. Through the whole process Ken kept in direct contact with us, letting us know when materials would be arriving, when his workers or subs would be coming to the house to work and when inspectors would be coming. Peaks workers would show up when Ken told us they would, which was nice because when we built our house we got use to contractors showing up when they felt like it, despite when they said they would be there. All of Peaks workers without exception were polite, friendly and extremely respectful. Our master bath is located on the upper floor, so that required all the workers to go up and down a flight of stairs multiple times a day. If any of the workers smoke, we never knew it. There was never any evidence of it in our yard or street. All the workers all had smiles in their faces when ever we interacted with them and they were extremely mindful of the animals we have in our house. Regardless of the load carrying in or out of our house they all made a point to shut the door behind them to prevent and any from getting out. This is no easy task when your hands are full. Before demoing the bathroom they laid down protective plastic on all of the flooring that they would be walking on. During demo, everything went into a large trash can that was carried by hand out of the house to their trailer. The overall workmanship demonstrated was excellent. We are very pleased with the outcome of our master bath. If you are looking for a good company that will do nice work for you and keep you in the loop every step of the way, Peak Remodeling is your company. We just canâ t say enough good things about all of the people at Peak!"

"I moved into my home about a year ago and we have been talking about wanting to remodel of the bathroom but always thought it was out of our budget. Premier Home pros was fantastic from start to finish. They have plenty of options and no high pressure sales or games. We were able to Get approved for 12 months 0% interest which made it possible to do it this year. Install took about 2.5 days and it looks amazing! They also installed at my mother-In-laws house. Would definitely recommend."

"I really liked this company. The workers were polite, efficient, knowledgeable. Everything was completed to my satisfaction and even over and above. Example, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but after talking to them and they showed me some examples, it made much more sense to do it as they suggested.. I absolutely love it. And after talking to them, I ended up putting a new floor in my kitchen. You can’t go wrong using this company."

"Had our basement finished by Luke in first half of 2018. We hired Luke because he listened to what we wanted and provided a great plan to maximize the available space within our modest budget. He worked at a steady pace with an apprentice to do the majority of the work -- framing, egress window install, drywall, multiple door install, closets, shower surround install, painting and flooring. What he couldn't do legally, he hired competent helpers: plumber, electrician, and HVAC. I would not hesitate to hire Luke. He is a friendly communicator, excellent craftsman and a man of integrity (you can take him at his word)."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel FAQs, answered by experts

While most modern sinks, toilets, and showers last up to 20 years or more with no issues, experts suggest a bathroom remodel should take place at least once a decade. Otherwise, your bathroom might start to look dated. However, the frequency depends on a few different factors, including the quality of the original materials, how well the space has been maintained, and your personal preferences. Signs it’s time for a refresh include outdated fixtures, worn surfaces, poor functionality, or simply wanting to update the look.

Whether it’s better to add a bathroom to an upstairs or downstairs floor will depend on the home’s layout and your needs. Powder rooms and guest bathrooms are commonly on lower levels, while primary bathrooms are upstairs. When deciding, consider where the bedrooms are located and where your family spends the most time. If you don't have a bathroom in the basement but use the space, adding a bathroom there could be a great option.

Depending on its size and the quality of the installation, a floating vanity can hold up to 220 pounds. The total weight it holds includes the countertop, sink, and anyone resting on the vanity as they wash their face or brush their teeth. Be sure to talk with your contractor and check the manufacturer’s specifications to determine how much weight your vanity can take.

While any bathroom remodel has a positive return on investment, an en suite bathroom can significantly increase a home’s resale value. It makes a property more enticing to buyers with families, particularly those with young children. However, keep in mind that at least one of the bathrooms should have a tub.

A water closet is a room within a bathroom where a toilet has a dedicated door for privacy. This separate space is set apart from the rest of the bathroom, allowing someone else to use the shower or sink. In some instances, there is also a small sink in the water closet for added convenience. The main benefit of a water closet is that it offers private space and can be a desirable design amenity, particularly if the bathroom is shared with others.
