"Innovative, basement authority was referred to us. JP came to our home and did the free inspection. He was very thoughtful and professional. He provided us with a quote for installing of inside drain system , new sump pump and air filtration system. We were pleased with the description and details of the products suggested. We accepted the bid and a month later the team came to our home. Within two days we had the new system installed. Everyone was great. Very attentive to our needs and desires. We would highly recommend them."

"just had a walk-in shower installed by DeBella. It looks like a million bucks! The installers were professional and worked hard. They came on time and - even better - finished on time! Dealt with the kind of unexpected things which crop up in a 100 year old house and did a great job. And excellent clean up afterwards. Five stars all around! Loryn was a dream to work with, helped with the estimate and details. She even came by the day after to see how the job came out and if I was satisfied. I certainly am - and I was impressed. Ask for Loryn!! Definitely recommend DaBella for walk in shower install and any other work you may need done."

"Extremely expensive, excellent quality but do not question there work and make sure you pay close attention to what you agree to have done and what actually is done. When you receive your call to set up an appointment for your estimate you will be told any estimate is good for 18 months but when the sales team show up be ready for an aggressive approach and the best deal is if you sign that day. They brag about there customer service but when my gutters were installed wrong WOW! what a battle to get then corrected. I got excuses like this is the industry standard, they were telling me this is how they would have done it and curb appeal is better this way. All I kept saying is I would like them to be installed as originally agreed upon. Eventually it happened. Roof looks great, gutters look great, aluminum wrap looks great around my doors and all was done in a timely manner just had some headaches to deal with. I may be too harsh on them because the over all completed project is great but to have to deal with poor customer service for the cost. man I would be careful. Oh yah now I am really concerned on what kind of customer service I will get if anything happens during my warranty time. By the way the warranty was a big selling point and it is very good. Hopefully we don't have to use it."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

If you’ve accessed the bolts and nuts that hold your toilet seat in place and can’t unscrew them, it’s possible that they were overtightened or that the material corroded over time, making it impossible to unscrew. If that’s the case, you can either call in a plumber for help, or you can DIY a solution if you’re careful. Lay down masking tape around the mounting bracket and then use the tape as a surface to lay a hack saw blade. Move slowly to cut through the bracket and bolt, being careful not to damage the porcelain in the process.

Most gas stoves either have a shutoff valve inside the oven drawer compartment or behind the stove wall. Cooktop shutoff valves are usually inside the base cabinet, and wall ovens usually have a shutoff valve in the cabinet below or next to the unit. Construction regulations require installing a shutoff valve within six feet of the appliance. So, if you can’t find the valve on the appliance, look around the connecting gas pipes within the six-foot radius.

A liquid drain cleaner can sometimes make a clog worse over time if you use it improperly or too much. The chemicals in drain cleaners can corrode and damage pipes, causing cracks and leaks that may cause further blockages. If the clog is more than the liquid drain cleaner can handle, the cleaner will simply add chemicals to a bigger overall problem.

PVC is best for drain or waste lines, but it isn’t a great choice for water supply lines, which tend to be highly pressurized. PVC is also not suitable for hot water lines. Instead, you’ll commonly see PVC for a toilet drain line or for plumbing vents to prevent airlocks, which can prevent water from flowing out of faucets.

You may have to dig out drain valves if they are buried under dirt. This method isn’t ideal, and it increases the chance of clogs and damage. Ideally, a drip irrigation system buries drain valves in a gravel pocket so they are easier to access and better-protected. If you have trouble accessing drain valves, hire a sprinkler professional to find them safely and efficiently.
