Emergency services offered

Everything In-Ground Pools is a locally owned business based out of Apple Valley,MN with 20yrs of experience in the industry. Services offered - New Vinyl liner pool builds - Vinyl liner replacements - Automatic pool cover fabric replacements - Complete pool and equipment slab overhauls

"Have only had issues with algae on summers we replaced we had a bad pool filter, so it came as a shock when we started having algae after these guys replaced our filter. We repeatedly put in chlorine and algicide and phosphate killers like they said and it made no difference. They claimed we were being stupid or that our pool place was scamming us, even though every other summer is fine and they give us read outs of the chemical makeup. Their worker stops by, first just checks to say the water is clear then says the filter is fine and starts swearing at us and blaming everyone except himself. If you want someone to do their job, don’t go there these guys."

Landscapes Unlimited is the Minneapolis landscaping design/build company with a distinguished reputation for superiority in design, architecture, construction, landscape care, and customer service. Our distinguished landscape design portfolio is full of creative ideas for outdoor structures, lighting, patios, bars, decks, retaining walls, fire features, sports courts, and swimming pool design. Our hard-working team of landscapers serves clients in metro Minneapolis, St. Paul, the Twin Cities suburbs.

"I filled out a warranty request last year because several of the plants that Landscapes Unlimited planted had died or were dying on our new Stonegate home. I was told it was too late in the season to do the work last fall and that they would complete it in the spring. Now they’re telling me the warranty has expired and they will not honor the warranty. Do you think that sounds like they have integrity? Also, that’s how they treated us after we spent thousands of dollars on a patio and landscaping project with them. Their workers scratched our brand new siding and then refused to come back and make the repairs"

Build swimming pools, hot tubs, chemicals, retail, service, liner replacement, outdoor kitchens, grills, fire tables

"UNETHICAL BUSINESS, STAY AWAY. My experience with the service department of this company was less than one star. Here are some key takeways: (1) price gouging, (2) untrained technicians, (3) non-transparent pricing, (4) requirement that a credit card be left on permanent file with the company in order to schedule service, (5) won't schedule service while the homeowner is home but rather shows up without notice, (6) aggresively rude Service Manager (Jesse Peterson), and (7) unethical practices."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

There are many factors to consider when building an in-ground concrete pool. This includes the pool’s primary purpose (relaxation or exercise) if you live in a warm or cold climate (how often it’ll be used), and if you have the budget for chemical treatments and pool maintenance. In-ground pools are often more costly than aboveground pools, but they’re considered more luxurious and hold more value.

A retaining wall can only function as a fence if it’s high enough on all sides to prevent someone from accidentally falling into the pool. However, most retaining walls retain dirt, which means their purpose is not related to safety. There would need to be nothing on the other side of the wall for it to be considered a fence, but in that case, it wouldn’t retain anything and would cease to be a retaining wall.

Most importantly, you should never cut corners when building a pool. Whether it’s an in-ground or aboveground, poorly constructed pools are dangerous to both the swimmers and your property. Leaks can even lead to home foundation damage. While you can DIY smaller elements of pool installation, always hire a contractor to oversee the process.

The regulations for pool fence heights vary by state, so be sure to research what the legal, minimum height is in your area before purchasing or installing a fence. Though every region is different, generally a pool fence must be at least 4 and ½ feet high. If you’re unsure whether you need a fence around your pool, and how high that fence should be, contact a local pool enclosure expert to help you successfully, and safely, move forward.

Sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs support greener construction options.
