I cannot recommend Arbor Barber enough!! When the City told us we needed to remove 3 ash trees within a month we stressed about the cost. Arbor Barber pricing was well below other estimates. They were able to get us in well before the deadline. The crew worked fast and efficiently, and could not have been more pleasant. They even trimmed some additional trees when they were out here. We are so happy with the work and the price. We will definitely use again.

The team did a great job removing 2 trees and trimming a couple more. Their pricing was highly competitive and the clean up was great! You would've never known that trees were just removed and trimmed. Would definitely use their services again in the future.

I called at 8;30 am and a rep from Arbor Barber was out within the hour. The team showed up about an hour later and completed the work. The team was quick, efficient and left my yard like nothing had ever happened. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Arbor Barber!!

We had a Canadian Cherry tree that had been infested with Black Knot disease and was more than ready to come down. It was right next to our deck (and a power line) and inside our 6 ft high wooden backyard fence. One of the crew did a remarkable job of cutting it down alone by climbing. We also had a Green Ash tree infested with Emerald Ash Borer in our back yard, near our fence. The owner, Vitaliy Savchenko, stood on a platform lift to expertly cut down most of the Ash tree. A crew member finished off the trunk at ground level. Another crew member carefully ground out the Ash stump and filled in the hole. We were relieved that their stump grinding machine fit through our gate opening width of 40 inches. Our fears of any damage to our fence and/or deck turned out to be groundless because absolutely nothing was harmed, including the Yew bush (surrounding the Cherry tree), other bushes in the yard, etc. - branches were expertly dropped where they did no harm. The crew who cleaned up branches did an excellent job. At our request, they left the Cherry stump, which we can use as a stand for a bird bath or plant. We requested a 2" thick slice of each of the trunks, as a remembrance. All of this was of much interest to our neighbors, one of whom requested a large Mulberry tree (growing right next to the house and amid power and telephone lines) to be removed and Vitaliy took the opportunity of having the platform lift there to go over and take care of that for him. Our neighbor was pleased with the work and the cost (about $1000 - included stump removal). In our front yard, Vitaliy trimmed our Apple tree and some of our Sugar Maple tree from the ground. Then, a crew member used the platform lift to trim higher on the tree (we wanted no branches near the roof and a few others trimmed). 30 ft Canadian Cherry tree removal - $680. 35 ft Green Ash tree removal - $980. Green Ash tree stump - grind and remove - $250. Apple tree trimming - $50. 40 ft Sugar Maple tree trimming - $300 (10% senior discount on total bill = $226) - final cost for Sugar Maple was $74. Tax: $146.45. Total: $2,180.45. We were very pleased with this price. Had 3 other estimates - 2 considerably higher. One lower but we were more impressed with Vitaliy's expertise. We made our initial telephone inquiries on Tuesday, March 2 to four Angie's List tree companies. Vitaliy responded with an in-person estimate visit with us on Wednesday, March 3 (not all companies meet with you for the estimate). The work was completed on Monday, March 8, scheduled for 8:00 a.m. (arrival was about 7:50 a.m.) and all was completed before noon. He and his whole crew worked extremely efficiently and expertly. Vitaliy has put together a great team. We miss our trees but they had to come down and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Arbor Barber.

I hired the Arbor Barber Company from Lakeville to remove three trees a few years ago. I was so impressed with the whole operation that I hired them again to remove another tree this year. Very professional. The four person crew brought the equipment needed, and wore all safety gear. I strongly recommend this company be included when requesting estimates.

I had a mixed experience with Arbor Barbers. I needed some tall maple trees trimmed. The company was very responsive to my request for an estimate, came out immediately, and quoted me a fair price. After I decided to hire them, they scheduled the work within 10 days. On the morning of the trimming, a large work crew for the size of the job (maybe half-dozen workers) showed up early with equipment (lift, log loader). So far, so good. However, the first red flag was that the crew seemed to have received no information about the job they were hired for. Once I repeated what I needed, they got right to work and did a great job. Took about an hour and a half and they were done. They did exactly as I asked, and they even cleaned up the ground beneath the trees better than it had been. The second red flag came when I took a few minutes to watch the crew. The crew member running the log loader, on multiple occasions while I watched, was moving this equipment in and around my house while looking down at his phone! He did this at least 4 times (that I saw), moving in both forward and reverse. The last time he started backing out into traffic! I went outside and asked for the supervisor -- I was told there was none on the job (?) I told the crew member what I had seen and he immediately went and talked to the young man on the log loader who stopped the behavior. I did not find any damage to my house, car, or lawn because of this. However, it seemed to be a pretty big safety issue, so after the job was over, I called the owner to let him know what had happened. And here was the third red flag. The owner apologized but then said essentially he couldn't control the behavior of his crew when he wasn't around...in other words, he didn't take any responsibility as the owner of the company for the professionalism of his crew, not even when it involved a safety concern. Really? As a supervisor myself, I can think of several things to do to change the conduct of a crew member. So my review of the company is mixed. They were responsive and the work done was done well (Grade: A) but the professionalism and safety concerns around moving equipment was seriously lacking (Grade: D). I said I'd hire them again because of the quality of the work, but if I did, I would feel the need to watch them carefully while they worked -- I would not leave them work on my property without being present.

Excellent. The crew showed up, explained what they were going to, and got it done in 1 hour 30 minutes. Cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied.

Excellent service. They came the day after I contacted them. The yard, sidewalk, and street were cleared of all debris. I definitely would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Very smooth operation and progessional

Work went great and fast! Bid was offered on the spot. Whole job took less than 3 hours. They took care to not damage the lawn and cleaned up yard and street really well. Accommodated our wishes of leaving firewood behind, and the large oak stump cut off flat, a few feet off ground for the kids to climb on, or to be used as a 'table' as it is near our fire pit.

Tree trimming

They arrived and removed a large Ash Tree and a Birch Tree from my front yard. They did a great job and were very friendly and professional.

They were quick about getting the work done and cleaned up nicely.
