Hayden was excellent -- very knowledgeable, communicated well, performed the task at hand. I have been most pleased with S & S over the years. I have had tree trimming, fertilization of trees, insecticide treatments, etc. All were performed well. I highly recommend Connor, Hayden, and Amy Caldwell. This was a great company to work with. They are very professional and respond quickly . I highly recommend them.

They were able to remove limb and save the tree. Clear dead branches and a others that were close to roof. Worked very hard, hardly knew they were there. Cleaned up. The cost was reasonable, however well worth the care and treatment of the tree and our property. I would hire again without hesitation and already referred them to my new neighbor.

This is the third job I've used S&S for and it was another pleasure to work with them. Previously I had trees removed and trimmed. I keep coming back.

Arborist Emily came and provided advice on all trees on the property. She followed up the same day with a detailed estimate. We elected to have a leaning 20 inch diameter ash removed from our backyard and two other ash trees pruned. S&S crew showed up as schedule. The crew was professional, polite, and answered all our questions and concerns. They worked well together as a team. Clean-up - the worst part of the job for the crew I would guess - was very thorough. We have contracted with the company for future treatment of two ash trees and a crab apple tree - service cost for that not included here.

S&S did a great job! From getting the estimate from Amy, to scheduling the work, to the price, we were extremely pleased! Amy was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I got the estimate right away and she explained their process clearly. Scheduling via email was smooth. We were so glad to have the work done and when we got home after work, we could hardly tell they were there! The work was done, but our yard and driveway looked the same, no debris to speak of. And the price was spot-on with their estimate.

We have used them before. You call , they send a person out to do a bid. She writes things up nonspecifically and then the tree cutters come out and maybe do mostly what you want - or maybe they cancel and then reschedule you for 2 months from now. As a result I thought things would go better if we were actually present to indicate exactly what we wanted cut. That turned out to be a waste of a day since they didn't show up. Later they called and said 2 guys were sick so they did the morning job - it ran long so they " cancelled " us .They were not horribly overpriced and CAN cut trees but because of the way the business is set up I WOULD NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN. It just seems like a huge waste of my time. If this was the first time this had happened I wouldn't be writing this review but it isn't. One year we had a bid done by Sarah and they never called to schedule at all! We called about 4 months later and she said " oh, I guess we forgot ". This time some guys were sick so they cancelled our job. So, if you want unreliable tree service - these are your guys!

The company consultant (Rob Neeser) is an arborist and is very helpful in giving information about the tree and the process of removing it. A great services is that he answers the phone; with some company representatives the customer has to always leave a voicemail and wait for a call-back. Because of the size of the tree, Rob needed to work with the city to get the street closed and to hire a crane. Because there is limited access to the backyard, the tree was taken out in pieces. An S&S worker was cutting pieces out of the tree and the crane lifted the pieces up and over the garage. They hauled the materials away and cleaned up. All workers, Luke, Casey, Ethan, and the crane company were professional and willing to answer our questions. Although it seemed expensive, it was a whole day job. S&S was not the least expensive but seemed to be the best price for the quality of work.

It's kind of an every other year thing. We've been using them quite a while. We compared them to the company that was doing our lawn and they had a better price. They are reliable. They are professional. The work they do seems; they do what they say they are going to do. The trees have remained healthy.

It went beautifully. Naturally, it provided entertainment for the entire neighborhood. We are so grateful for the fine job they did.

They were easy to work with. Showed up on time, completed the work quickly and left the area clean.

Ten years ago we hired S&S for tree trimming and they did a good job. One of the trees was planted in 1986 so it is quite large. S&S pruned two trees and it included shortening the branches. Fast forward to 2017 and we need the same trees trimmed again so we contracted again with S&S. We received a quote that included treating the Emerald Ash tree and 'pruning' three trees (including the large tree) for $1,151. Within two weeks the Emerald Ash tree was treated. Part two of the project for pruning the trees took multiple calls to S&S and finally 9 weeks later the work was done. We came home from work to find they did not clean up, there was tree debris all over the yard. Also, S&S did not trim the length of the branches. We have branches touching our gutters, reaching into our neighbors yard, etc. We sent S&S an e-mail with pictures and complained. The response (direct from the S&S e-mail): The ANSI standards (which are the standards follow by reputable tree companies) always refer to it as tree pruning. That is mean to selectively remove branches to make the tree healthy and safe. Terms like raise up, reduction pruning, etc. are all cosmic terms that don’t necessarily make the tree healthier, they are used to shape a tree in a specific matter. None of this was explained in the quote. For an additional fee they are more than happy to come back out and 'raise up' the trees. We said no thanks and will be looking for a different tree service.

It took a half day for them to get the trees down. They cleaned up bnehind themselves really well.

It went very well - I will be using S&S again. After trying to work with a couple other companies, who would either not call me back, or were very slow in responding, I was relieved that this was a good experience. I'm sure it's all relative, but this was a fairly big job. A crane was needed to remove the tree piece by piece. They had to ask some of my neighbors to move their cars but they were very professional, which I appreciated. They were well organized and definitely knew what they were doing. Amazingly, the work was completed in about half a day and they did a great job in cleaning up. Communication with Jacob (the person I worked with for this) was excellent, he was very responsive and communicated well both via email and in person when I met him. Bottom line, I will use them again. I was a bit concerned that this would be expensive since they are a larger company, but as I mentioned, the bad experiences with a couple other companies made me realize that even if it was more expensive, it was worth it. Actually, the other person who I talked to mentioned 5000 for the crane alone, so I really don't think their price was that bad. I had a great experience overall.

Our contact at S&S did not communicate the correct message to the trimmers and they cut off all the branches on the house side of 2 trees. Claiming they thought the trees were supposed to be trimmed to to not be closer to the house than 10 feet. Those were not my instructions or desire. These trees are ours and not belonging to the association. she stated that she should have discussed in detail each tree-especially these 2. the 2 trees are now one sided and look hideous. It was good. They did tree work for me a few years ago.I don't know if I would use the provider again because it's totally different people now. If I were filling this out at the time of service, yes I would use them again.

We got 2 different estimates on that. The service isn’t finished yet. We figured out who we want to use. The cost will be $4,200 plus tax, so I guess it will be $4,700 maybe.

The communication wasn't effective but ultimately everything turned out OK.

They did a great job, our trees are very tall and mature, so they had to climb up 30 or 40 feet to trim and get the deadwood out of them. And they did a great job cleaning up after their work. I trust them to take good care of our trees.

They did what they said they were going to do. They did the work efficiently and without destroying the plants I had around the tree. The work took an hour maybe. The workers were great and did a fine job.

Very well. I did have to go out and inquire about the pruning as the tree trimmer had only removed one limb and wasn't sure if more were going to be taken off as it appeared they soon to be leaving. Also would have liked at least one tree root removed. I should have asked if that was part of the tree stump grinding. I would have added that on to the work order.

I was very impressed. They used to go out to the national cemetery and trim the trees for free. They did a lot of work. I think the price was at least as good as anyone else.

They do great. They were efficient. They clean up after themselves. They get there on time. I'm very happy with them.

It was $500, something like that. I choose them because of cost and the ability to get the work done. Really convenient, very prompt and good with work.

We have used S & S before, and are pleased with the work they do. They were punctual, and trimmed our hanging branch quickly. They didn't even need to use their cherry picker to access the hanging branch. They did a good job and told us about cabling two other sections of the tree so other branches would not come down. We told them to go ahead for our peace of mind.
