"I wanted a putting green that was somewhat difficult for golfers,; yet, ok for young grandchildren. Jerry Colemanâ s design was creative with some excellent challenges. He arrived on the job ahead of schedule, and completed the project on time. Jerry was open to our suggestions, and a delight to have on this job."

"Mike is a hardworking fellow who you can tell takes a lot of pride in his work. His crew did a great job of removing the tree we needed even though it was surrounded by lines and a fence. Excellent clean up as well, could not even tell they were there (minus the missing tree haha) he gave me one hell of a deal and even cleaned up a little extra brush i had lying around no problem. Timely, professional and a really down to earth guy. I recommend 100 times to hire them for your tree needs. Hats off to you Mike and crew."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

You cannot put anything you want into a rented dumpster, as there are significant restrictions on certain items.

Generally allowed items include:

  • Household Junk: Furniture, old linens, carpets, toys, small appliances, and excess trash.

  • Construction & Yard Debris: Wood, yard debris, roofing materials, old finishes, and other construction waste.

Commonly prohibited items include:

  • Hazardous Materials: Toxic waste, medical waste, dangerous chemicals, items with lead paint, and asbestos.

  • Flammables: Gasoline, oil, and fuel.

  • Specific Banned Items: Paint cans, electronics, batteries, tires, refrigerators, and hot water tanks.

Because rules can vary, you should always check with your specific dumpster rental company for their guidelines if you are unsure about an item.

Many tools are effective in helping you remove hedges. While heavy machinery is likely the best option for making quick work of hedge removal, your trusty hand spade shovel is probably the next best. Use a spade shovel to dig around the hedge and break roots as you go with the tool. Your spade is also useful for getting deep underneath the root ball, so you can insert a pry bar to help lift the plant.

Although palm trees are self-pruning and will eventually remove their own brown leaves with new growth, there are a couple of instances when you might still want to go ahead and do the work yourself. For example, remove brown palm leaves if you live in an area with a greater risk of wildfires or if the leaves obstruct your pathway. But as long as the leaves pose no safety hazards, you don’t have to worry about pruning them.

Several tools exist that can help remove unwanted grass. The one you choose depends greatly on how much you need to remove and how hard you'd like to work. A sod or turf cutter is the fastest method while using a shovel is labor-intensive and much slower. You may also need a garden rake, tiller, and wheelbarrow.

The easiest way to remove bushes is first to cut the bush down. You may need to use a handsaw, pruning shears, or a chainsaw for thicker branches. Once you’ve removed most of the branches, you can then cut the base of the shrub as low to the ground as you can get. Then, with a shovel, dig around until you expose the roots. Dig out the roots, being careful not to leave any roots in the soil.
