"RD Floors was a referral from a friend when another company wasn’t returning calls after asking me to contact them early January. This left me with a shorter window to get my project done. A blessing in disguise. Ryan happened to have an opening the next Monday. The color I wanted wasn’t going to be available by then so Ryan went OUT OF HIS WAY to make a blend close to the color I wanted. It was perfect. Then, with the late start, worked into the night to get my floor done. This is a business that truly cared about the customer and is passionate about his work. The garage floor is beautiful and it is a quality job. Ryan and crew were great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. Worth every penny!! Thank you so much Ryan and company!!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"We hired Acclaimed Concrete because they seemed so knowledgeable and were very helpful in choosing which product to use. The father and son team were very conscientious and explained everything we needed to know! We absolutely love our new floor. Our floor was 40 years old and they made it look brand new! Their pricing was attainable for us. You won’t be disappointed with this father son team."

"I contacted 5 different contractors to Epoxy my garage floor, Ryan gave me the best bid, but that is not why I hired him. He was easy to talk to and I could tell he was a "straight shooter". The only glitch we had was getting the epoxy coating from the supplier which delayed the project only a day. He showed up when he said he would, did an excellent job, and cleaned up the site afterwards. I enjoyed working with him and have referred him to many other people. I m very happy with the outcome!"

"Jared arranged to paint on a Saturday due to his schedule and arrived on time dove right in. He and his assistant had both rooms done, but we were having rainy weather so the bedroom wasn't drying fast enough for him to put on the second coat. He offered to return later that day and apply the second coat. He took great care to protect my furniture and floor and did an absolutely beautiful job. I would hire him back any time."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

A concrete seal can protect your garage floor from water and stains as can an epoxy coating. The main difference is that epoxy is much more durable and better for heavy-duty wear and tear—it’s used in more industrial and commercial settings. If you’re just using the garage as storage for tools and your car, concrete sealer will do just fine. But if your garage doubles as a workshop for side projects and auto repair, epoxy will hold up better.

You primarily need to be concerned about the moisture level in concrete when you are dealing with a basement or other below-ground part of your house. If you find any indication of moisture in your subterranean space, consider calling in a professional for further testing and moisture control solutions.

You’ll usually need to prime a garage floor before painting—especially if the floor is unpainted. Garage floors are made from concrete, which is porous and produces dust. The dust can contaminate the paint and cause issues with adherence.

Primer creates a barrier and gives you a clean surface to work on. It also minimizes absorption to help give you an even, pro-looking paint job. Make sure you choose a primer that’s specifically designed to cover concrete flooring.

Concrete is extremely porous. Without a proper sealing, it will absorb just about anything it comes in contact with, including water and ice. During the colder months with freeze-thaw cycles, this could cause the concrete to crack and become damaged in other ways. You always want to seal your cleaned concrete surfaces after they’ve completely dried out.

The best time to seal your concrete driveway is sometime in the spring and fall when the temperature is above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep an eye on the weather, and be sure to pick a day without rain on the forecast for at least 24 hours. Lastly, be sure you can leave the space free of foot and car traffic for the full drying time.
