"They removed and hauled away 5 huge pine trees. 4.5 rating versus 5 due to some stumps could of been ground down a little more. Completed job in 1 day, was dark when they completed."

"Colin and his crew have been in Iowa since the day after the August 10th derecho that caused widespread damage. I was looking for a company to help remove a lot of debris from downed trees and to remove broken trees. He showed up with his crew the same day. They worked nonstop all day. He took great care to cause as little damage as possible to the yard. The entire team was professional and efficient. We were so impressed with Colin that we are having them back to take out the rest of the trees that we had originally planned to wait on. If you need any kind of tree care, removal, high risk removal, tree cabling, landscaping, yard cleanup, you cannot go wrong by hiring this company. I highly recommend them."

"My husband attempted many diy solutions to the water in our basement without success. Under The Sun Services came to my house the day after I contacted them to assess the issue. Within minutes Skyler identified the issue, explained to us why previous attempts failed and what his plan was to finally end the issue. Within a week the project was completed and my yard was left looking great for spring. One year later I havenâ t had any water in my basement. My neighbor was struggling with a similar issue but went with another competitor in town. This year Under The Sun Services will be returning to re-do the job and has offered to meet with us together to talk about additional landscaping projects we each wanted to make sure they wonâ t create further irrigation issues for either of us. Canâ t wait to see the work they do next!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you’re buying a small tree with lots of room to grow, expect to pay around $100 to $200 for a potted version. But if you’re buying a larger tree—say one over 10 feet—prices rise, starting in the $500 to $600 range and increasing quickly from there. Keep in mind that paying for professional palm tree planting or transplanting services will increase the cost.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.
