"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.

"This was subbed out to a local person since the company is based in Massachusetts and we're in Brooklyn., which is fine and makes sense.  The tech was knowledgeable and the computer now runs faster.  I never had time to call back but our fire wall keeps shutting off ever since we had the service for some reason.  I think it may be installed twice.

HOWEVER

Geek Squad just sent an email offering $50 for every  "A " review on Angie's List.  Why do I think that this is not in the spirit of this organization?"

"It turned out to be much more complicated than anticipated with many unexpected, "why is this happening" errors.  Chip was patient, calm and in control. He knew what to ask and what to do to more the process along. He had options that were realistic and reasonable.  His explanations and directions were clear in very confusing circumstances when he was depending on me to handle the actual manual effort required to install the operating system from the DVD.   Once that was accomplished, he took over remotely and very quickly completed bringing the system to operational status.  The speed with which he was able to accomplish these tasks was very impressive as was his depth of technical knowledge.  He is the Best Computer Tech I have ever worked with and I have worked with too many over the past few years - unfortunately.

"Had to cancel because one TV always froze after about 5 minutes, and they were never able to fix it.   They did try several times and let us out of the contract since they could not provide full service.  I would gladly use them again if they could figure out that technical problem, which apparently is rare in their experience.

"Anthony called at exactly the date and time agreed upon. He was helpful, cordial, and obviously knew his stuff. He took control of my computer and got rid of all the offending websites and impending threats. He installed new drivers for my equipment. I chose to purchase a top-rated anti-virus program rather than use the free versions. He performed other tasks, but I am not computer-savvy enough to understand or explain them.
Since he fixed everything a week ago, I have not had one problem. If I do, I can call him back any time. I am

"The first tech could not do the job due to an extreme allergy to my cats. So the 2nd tech from Church Services was dispatched, he arrived the next day. (NOTE: I had expressed urgency because the circuit was on the refrigerator. Physically I could not move the refrigerator in order to plug in a temporary extension cord) The short was located & receptacle replaced.NOW comes the issue: It was my understanding that "Service Call Fee" of $45 was what I was expected to pay and because I have the Total Plan, I would NOT responsible for any additional fees ( "If we can't repair it, we'll replace it" from CHW TV ad). The tech insisted (rather condescendingly) that I pay additional $ for the work performed. He did not give me a receipt. When I asked for one, he said he would send by e-mail, He didn't. I tried to call the 24/7 phone number ...NO ONE ANSWERED."
