"Matt and his team did an exceptional job with our challenging interior paint job—the tongue and groove paneling (walls and ceiling) of our cabin's master bedroom, including a vaulted ceiling. We also asked them to apply a java gel stain to a high ceiling beam and the pitched ceiling of our master bathroom. We couldn't have been happier with the results. Absolute perfection. Matt is professional, timely, and a great communicator. We really appreciated the photos he sent when the project was finished. He had competitive pricing, also. We are so glad we invested in hiring this project out--in the past we've done nearly all interior paint jobs ourselves, but it would have taken us so much time, scaffolding rental, and we wouldn't have done nearly as good a job. You can paint over cracked paint, but only if you properly sand down the damaged areas. Once the surface is as smooth as you can get it, clean the walls and let them dry before applying a new coat of paint. Painting over cracked paint without sanding or cleaning beforehand will not cover up the cracks and may even make them look worse.

Roller marks are streaks or smudges that show up on the wall after painting. They can make the paint's surface look textured or uneven. To prevent roller marks, make sure there's enough paint on the roller when you apply it to the wall. You may have to dip the roller in the paint more frequently than you expect to ensure you have an adequate amount of paint on it.

Choosing the right type of roller can also help you avoid streaks and marks. If you're painting an interior wall, look for a roller with a low nap and choose one that's large enough for the job.

Consider skipping the primer if possible; it's only necessary if you need to cover something up, such as a stain or a porous surface, or if you want to switch from a dark color to a light one. If you have a steady hand and are a precise painter, you may want to consider skipping the painter’s tape. Instead, carry a damp rag with you as you paint to quickly wipe away any mistakes.
