"We hired Highrollers to paint our exterior wood windows, shutters, and masonry foundation. Leo was a pleasure to work with--very responsive and knowledgeable with great attention to detail and checking the site thoroughly to make sure everything was done properly The windows needed quite a bit of work, and his crew (Dylan, Cam, and Guerra) worked diligently and with beautiful results. I would not hesitate to hire them again."

"Neris was excellent. The products he used were quality and he applied them with a lot of attention to detail. They were always friendly, courteous and professional while working around the house. At the end we walked around the house together to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns and make sure they didn't miss anything. He told us to call or text if we noticed anything moving forward as well. Everyone has been complementing how great our house looks, it's like a whole new house! We are very happy with the result and will use Leon's for anything we need in the future."

"Overall, I was very pleased with Kerry's work. Because of the weather and bigger clients that bumped us, our job lasted longer than he expected (I believe he said 5 days originally, but it took about a month start to finish). But we told him we weren't in a rush. I inspected the work continuously and he was always happy to change or fix anything I pointed out, which was a big plus in my book. He was very easy to work with."

"They did a quality job with quality products and the work was done on schedule.  They had a slightly higher price then other bids I received, but they did a lot of prep work and guaranteed their work.  They made a tired looking 30+ year old house look new again.

"There's a lot of reasons why we keep inviting Chris back to our home. 1. He consistently does outstanding quality work. He always tries to do a job the right way, with attention to details and he's really good at what he does. 2. He is extremely conscientious and dependable. 3. He communicates very well and always does what he says he will do even if it means spending more time on a job than he had originally planned or scheduled. 4. He is very polite, honest and respectful. 5. He's a really hard worker, and 6. He seems motivated not by how much money he can make on a job but rather how much he can help other people by doing a really good job for a really fair price. I've been an active member of Angie's List for over 10 years and we've used lots and lots of contractors over this same time. Chris ranks at the top in terms of what I think we are all looking for when we pay our Angie's List dues each year!!

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

The two most common reasons wallpaper does not stick are a lack of preparation and improper adhesive. Be sure to use the wallpaper paste designed for the type of paper you choose. Before beginning your project, make sure the walls are clean and free of dust, grease, and oils.

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.

Hanging wallpaper may seem simple, but in practice it requires significant planning and finesse to make it look professional. To start, you need to get an even application of wallpaper paste across all of your wallpaper, which requires experience and large pasting tables to get right. You also need to plan out your design and match it exactly so that you don’t have imperfections in the finished product. It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.
