However, we also chose not to compromise the materials we chose in order to get the price down. We are thoroughly impressed with our entire experience with Goetz Landscaping. Al was our designer. We wanted a contemporary and modern design and he nailed it right away. Al was completely thorough not only with the work but also in dealing with our association. Our association required tohave a certain percentage of "buffer zone" in our back yard and they are very strict about maintaining. Al coordinated everything including the 3 inspections by the association that needed to take place. The crew that showed up was terrific. They were on-time, friendly, and very professional. They explained what they were doing and were meticulous with their steps to ensure quality work. They started on a Tuesday where they'd cleared away the area and put in the "layers" of the foundation. That night, we had *torrential* rain and turned the dirt into mud. On Wed., they worked half a day (where it rained the whole time), but were concerned that it was still so wet. On Thurs., they were still concerned about the stability of the foundation. They wanted to give it the weekend to dry out. On Monday, they'd work the entire day and, when we came home, explained they wanted to ensure a solid foundation, which required more layers - so they basically started from scratch. We were so impressed with the fact that they did not stop until they were sure the work was high quality. Again, the experience was fantastic and I would recommend them in a heartbeat."

"Snow and rain delayed the work by weeks, and like other service providers working outdoors during this remarkable spring of crazy weather, Dakota Landscape & Design got behind in scheduling and doing projects. When Josh and one of his workers finally came with the plants, both the plants and the work were terrific. The plants are healthy and attractive, and Josh and the other worker did an excellent job with the planting (taking care not to damage plants already in my yard) and were exceptionally patient as I figured out where I wanted each plant. In other words, both actual visits could not have been better. The delays, backlog, and communication between the two visits might have been better.
