"I never leave poor reviews, however, I was very disappointed in the lack of integrity and communication provided by 5 star lawn service. For the past seven years, we had hired another small business for annual leaf removal and continued to be a loyal customer due to the excellent service they provided. In fall 2022, we were informed that our previous company was acquired by 5 star lawn service and therefore, we transitioned our business to them. We were then assured they would fit us into their schedule. The fall came and went, and they did not show up, nor communicate with us that they were not able to make it work. Once it snowed, it was too late to contact another company. Then in May 2023, 5 star service reached back out stating they were unable to make it in the fall, and offered to come in the spring instead, to which I agreed. After the service, they sent me an invoice for twice the amount of our annual clean up stating “Price increases if a Fall Cleanup was not preformed”. They did not inform me upfront that the rate would change due to more leaves needing to being collected in the spring as they did not perform the service in fall. I attempted several times to contact them regarding the price increase, including an email the same day the first bill was issued, but rather than responding, they continued to issue me “late fees”. Once I was finally able to get ahold of them, they agreed to remove the late fees due to their lack of response, but did not apologize or take accountability for their lack of communication regarding not showing up in the fall and/or informing me upfront regarding price increases due to the acquisition and the additional leaves needing to be removed. I ended up paying the full price, but will not be using their services again."

The owner, Robert Kreft, is onsite with the crew through all phases to ensure we give you the highest quality of work and what you've expected in the end. We offer free initial estimates. If you would like a project design, we do work with someone that can create a plan for you. All plans are free when you have us complete your project, otherwise deposits are retained to cover the plans. Our payment plan is built into stages so it will be easier for both the customer and the company during the work process and also to ensure complete satisfaction. Robert is properly licensed to build, is EPA certified, and more than qualified to do your landscaping project that you've been dreaming of.

"Appointments were on time. The exact trim was no longer available, but they found the original maker and got the Sherwin Williams paint code so I can get it to match when it warms up. Completed the work right in the middle of the coldest part of February!"

We do work through out the Twin Cities area and in Western Wisconsin in the Webb Lake and Danbury WI Areas.

"The expanded design is great! The shrubs, trees, and plants are healthy and seem to be established. Everything looks really nice! I want to add that the crew was very careful not to damage the lawn with their heavy equipment. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up. Northern Lights Landscaping completed all the work in about 3 and 1/2 days."
