"After 15 years in my current home, I was finally getting granite countertops. I was so excited. I went to Paramount on the advice of a friend who had used them. From the start they were very helpful. They answered any and all questions I had. I looked at multiple granite places, and I ended up selecting my granite at another business. Paramount did an excellent job coordinating the delivery of the granite to their site in a quick and efficient manner. The gentleman that came to measure our kitchen was professional and on time. Paramount allowed me to come down to the company and they put up all three slabs they were using for my kitchen and put the template of my counters, island and desktops on them. They were patient and helpful in deciding where to cut the granite to get the maximum effect I was looking for. (Lots of movement). "Allen assessed the job and quickly determined we have saturated tiles and need to have tile replaced in the shower. He provided information on finding a tile setter as well as cleaning the shower. "When I called Hal Morris (owner of the company) he came out immediately to give us an estimate. I went over what needed to be done and we talked about the kind of wood that Hal felt would be best. Hal was honest about his work schedule (can't work in the rain) and set the date that he could start. Hal worked with two other men. They worked very hard for the first day. They had to tear out the old fencing and gates and dig holes for the new posts. They had to do a little gardening as well (removing weeds) to clear a place for the new posts and fencing. When the cement was poured for the posts, Hal also let me know that they would give it at least 72 hours to set up before continuing the job. He was back when he said he would be. Hal also suggested we use a certain design for the fencing, which we did and it looks great. The new gates took a little adjustment since they were a little different than I thought they would be but I think Hal's design for them is very nice. After the job was done in a timely fashion, I called Hal to ask if he could lower the bottom of one of the gates so our grand dog wouldn't get out. I also called to report that the spring system on one of the gates did not seem to be working even though it was working fine when the job was originally finished. Hal called to say he would get there as soon as possible. Hal was working on other jobs and there was a lot of rain this Summer but he returned fairly quickly in response to the adjustments I needed. He fixed both! Hal is fairly easy to work with and has suggestions for what he thinks needs to be done and what will work best. He educated me in the various kinds of woods that could be used for the job and which would be the best for our purposes. I will be watching our fencing and our next door neighbors to see whose lasts the longest.......I think ours will. Thanks Hal"

"Purchased a remnant for a small countertop for a wet bar. After visiting many sources found the perfect piece at Princess and also found the most comfortable experience. Vitaly (owner) came to my house to see what needed to be done and to offer suggestions.  He was polite and professional.

Viktor came to work on time a few days later to start the demolition. The dumpster was not there the first day so he came back the next day to start. No problem.  Viktor and his helper worked very hard to demolish  the bathroom.  They cleaned up each day before they left.

There was some mold on an adjacent bedroom wall , which was not surprising, since the some of the old bathroom shower tiles were missing.  Vitaly thought that we could find some kind of a solution to get rid of the mold, but  none of the stores had a powerful enough formula to do the job right.  After a  few days, I decided it was best to have that wall removed completely.   Vitaly asked Viktor to give a bid to remove the bedroom wall.  Viktor did not want to take on that job.  Vitaly then gave me a name of a contractor who specializes in mold removal.  I hired that company and in about another week, the mold wall was carefully removed and replaced with another bedroom wall. 

Before the bedroom mold wall was removed, Viktor installed an outside vent cap for the bathroom fan.   There is a small section of roof (approx. 18 inches) with a pitch extending from the side of the house above the bathroom ceiling where the vent roof cap could be placed.

 Viktor installed  a vent cap, but it was the wrong type.  He installed a wall vent cap, not a roof vent cap.  Also, the vent was installed over the shingles and flashing, instead of under them. If left as is, wind and rain  would be able to come into the exhaust pipe or leak under the shingles and enter the bath fan/house.  I notified Vitaly about it.  He called me back and said that they would fix it.  He said that Viktor told him that he had installed that type of vent before.   I said to Vitally that I would remove it and install a new, correct type of vent.

After the bedroom wall was replaced, I decided  that I did not want to use Vitaly's services any more.  I called Viatly and talked to him about the situation and my decision.  He was very polite and listened to what I had to say.  We agreed that it was best to settle on the charges I owed him and move on.    

 I've called Angie's List a few times, since, to talk about the situation.    One of the things that I found from the Angie's List Representative was that Vitaly's company had already been paid by Angie's List.  This surprised me, since I thought a contractor would get paid for a Big Deal only AFTER the work had been done.

  At this point, I want to be sure that Vitaly's company gets paid for the work they did. (they have been paid, amount is unknown) 

  Also, I would like to get a refund for $3700.00     I feel that I owe Vitaly $1300.00 for the work his company did.   My figure includes an adjustment for replacing the bath fan vent and for the extra 5 days the dumpster sat in my yard.

I would appreciate a resolution to this situation so that all 3 parties can move on.  Thank you.
