"We found Twin Cities Upholstery through Angie's List. They had good reviews and were very near to where we live. Our sofa suffered from sagging springs, and worn seat cushions. Ernest came to our house and gave us an estimate for replacement of cushions and springs, and to steam clean the rest of the sofa. He had us visit his office on a Saturday and helped us to pick out matching material for the cushions, and also offered to make us some pillows. Once we decided on fabric (with much advice from Ernest) they picked up the sofa and had it repaired within about 1 week. They scheduled a convenient delivery time and did all the work.
The sofa is once again in excellent condition. After a few months of daily use there are no signs of wear on the new materials. 
It was a pleasant experience to work with Ernest and Twin Cities Upholstery. We plan to have them do more work for us, and I would highly recommend them.

"I called on a Monday and got an appointment for Tuesday, which was a big reason that I went with Sears.  I needed the service performed as soon as possible as the dryer wasn't working well.  I was quoted a price of $189, which was higher than some other places, but I went with Sears because of the availability of appointments.  I was told that they would arrive between 10:00 am and noon, and that I would get a call 30 minutes before their arrival time. 

On the day of the appointment, at 12:30, with no phone call, the service men arrived.  I was immediatley told that there was an additional $25 fee for disposal of waste, which I was not told of on the phone.  The lead serviceman also said that he didn't think they would be able to move my stackable unit out of the utility closet because of weight and how small the closet was.  (I had inquired about this when I set up the appt and was told it wouldn't be a problem).  After some consultation with his colleagues, it was decided that the vent could be reached from the roof and cleaned from the outside (also something that is routinely done). (I live in a 2nd floor condo of a two floor building).

Once they started working, they were very efficient and did a very thorough job.  They let me know that my neighbor's vents needed cleaning as well.  The drier works better than it has in months.  While I was pleased with the work once completed, the extra fee and need to reiterate that I was told the work could be done, made my experience not as good as I had hoped from Sears."
