Customers say: True professional

"We hired Absolute Masonry to repair our chimney that had been damaged by a falling tree branch. They were able to fit us into their schedule the day after I called which was great because the roofers were waiting for the chimney repair before replacing the roof that had also been damaged by the tree branch. They did an excellent job repairing the chimney and the cleanup was so good we could not tell that anyone had been there. There was no residue on the roof and no mess left in the yard. Our experience with Absolute Masonry was great and we would not hesitate to hire them again."

"When getting the bid for a sprinkler system, I first met with Dustin. Dustin was very personable. He was detailed and informative. If I had any questions once I chose Warners, Dustin was quick to reply back and always very helpful. Riley and his crew did a nice job installing the sprinklers with minimal damage to my lawn. I am pleased with choosing Warner's Outdoor Solutions."

"Rockheads built two boulder walls, and installed precast steps for us. They did an awesome job, particularly using the rocks we had and piecing them together. We now have very unique 8 ft tall walls of stone from our land that really complement our new home. We would recommend them to anyone. Watching them do their thing was very enjoyable as well; they are personable, professional, and communicate on timing, cost, and options."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a chimney damper is necessary. It controls airflow in and out of your fireplace, helping to retain heat when closed and allowing smoke to escape when open. Without a damper, your home could lose warmth during cold months, leading to higher energy bills. It also helps prevent downdrafts and keeps animals or debris from entering the chimney. In short, it’s essential for efficiency and safety.

There are several strategic ways to lower your home insurance premium. The primary one is to shop around and get quotes every few years to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Also, sometimes bundling your auto and homeowner’s insurance will get you a discount on both. Finally, try to keep your credit score up; many homeowner insurance companies use credit scores to generate quotes.

Wiring a light switch wrong can cause a fire if the incorrect wiring causes arcing, meaning the current jumps uncontrolled from one conductor to another. Loose wires or worn wires that are not repaired or replaced can cause arcing. If you’re not 100% sure you can do the job safely, don’t attempt to wire a light switch on your own.

Yes, spider webs are flammable, taking them from minor household nuisance to something more dangerous. Silk boasts no built-in resistance to fire, though it takes an abundance of spider webs to actually catch fire and spread. A cobweb here and there poses no major fire safety risk, so it’s not a cause for concern.

A chimney liner isn’t required for an outdoor fireplace; you don’t technically need one if the masonry chimney uses the proper dimensions and is built to code. However, a chimney liner does serve as a protective coating for the flue. Adding a liner could improve performance, safety, and durability. In short, while not necessary, it wouldn’t hurt.
