"AAA Tree Pros did an excellent job removing 2 diseased ash trees from our property. They offered a fair price, scheduled the work very quickly, and handled everything safely and professionally. "SMK Tree Service was quick to response and great to work with. Shane was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Trees naturally want to grow upward, so one may straighten all by itself, though this only comes into play when a tree is leaning just a small amount. You can use herbicides to prevent roots from growing without killing the tree itself, however they must be used with caution. Palm tree roots grow as deep as three feet into the ground, although soil and growing conditions could mean they go as far as 50 inches into the earth. 

If you want to be able to repurpose the grass in the area where you removed a stump later, you’ll have to dig quite deep—and perhaps wide—to trim away all the roots.
