Dave was quickly able to determine that a replacement was necessary. Pricing was discussed, we obtained additional quotes, and ultimately decided to have Conners Plumbing & Heating complete the actual installation. Pros: Very professional and knowledgeable, respectful of your home (used shoe covers, covered carpeting when removing old heater and bringing the new one in), and easy to work with. Local company (Waseca, MN) with local staff (our installer, Dave, was from Owatonna). Cons: Priced higher than all other quotes that we obtained, and that was even AFTER receiving a 15% discount on the total cost. (We received a 15% discount due to the fact that we signed up for the \"Service Partner\" program). Also, the office staff indicated that our installer would be at our home at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the install but the actual arrival time was later than that because the installer had to obtain the permit and pick up the hot water heater prior coming to our home that morning. To summarize: Even though the cost was greater than all of the other quotes that we obtained, we still opted to utilize Conners Plumbing & Heating because they were knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/waseca/connors-plumbing-and-heating-inc-reviews-6261867.htm"},"position":5},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"WATT AUTOMOTIVE","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Marlene S."},"reviewBody":"These guys are professional and friendly. Maybe that happened sometime in the 1960's but not in this century. That company would not even come out and inspect the work we were being billed for. We called Mand M Heating, they came out at the time scheduled, estimated the work, ordered their supplies, came back at the scheduled time, removed the old furnace, installed new venting and the furnace, and charged a very reasonable price. Lower than the company that did not put in the new furnace but insisted on being paid for it. We used them to replace a outdated furnace in another home. Again, the work was flawless. I recommended them to the owner of a rental property in Hinckley. She was so pleased she is sending all her work to them. I won't call anyone else. We explained the issues we were having, that it was not heating the water at all, and that the unit was extremely old. They asked us to follow them downstairs while they inspected the unit. They throughly explained what they were looking for and how it made the unit run. Upon inspection, they explained the age of the unit, and that at its age it was not only dead, but using so much energy that it was not even worth repairing. They explained the different options we had, like a similar tank with different gallon sizes, the energy they used and if it would be the right fit for how much water we used. They also explained the pros and cons of the tankless water heaters, and that they had mixed reviews on how others liked them. It was their recommendation that with the mixed reviews on tankless water heaters, they would suggest a 60 gallon waterheater. They placed the order, and were here the next day, at the time they said they would be, to install the unit. They were very respectful of the flooring upstairs, and made sure to answer any questions we had during installation about the unit. The only poor thing I could say is that they did not clean up the sediment that was left on the floor, leaving me to clean up the mess."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/owatonna/wencl-plumbing-reviews-2347668.htm"},"position":10}]}

Amy and Phil have been fantastic to work with. They are responsive and punctual which are both qualities dear to my heart. Our new furnace install was flawless and we have continued to use Lake Shore Heating and Cooling for our other heating service needs. They're great!

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Breezy Point, MN
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
