"Almost immediately after being connected, I was contacted by Jacob. I explained what I was hoping to have done. He quickly answered my questions and it was even after hours! He then worked with me to get it scheduled. The service person (Rory) was on time and really good! He was respectful of my home and did the work quickly and cleanly. I highly recommend Diversified Plumbing! They were so great and I will definitely use them for future needs."

"I signed up for furnace special cleaning of $49 and I added air conditioning cleaning for an additional $49. I have had very little use of my A/C and it is only 6 years old. I have no problems with it. The tech replaced 2 parts and told me the cooling fluid will be outlawed in 2020. That doesn't apply to me because I would be grandfathered in with my fluid. He replaced two parts, which I believe were unnecessary, but I authorized it. He also thought there was a leak and said he's be back in the spring to check it. When all was said and done, the bill was $957 plus the $49 already paid through Angie's list. I have an invoice carbon that is unreadable and I have asked for another but have not received one. This was a clean-up job, not a service call. I'm not having them back and I'm cancelling my Angie's list subscription."

"Ken Wilhelm did a fantastic job steam cleaning our shower. Initially, he emailed me a detailed estimate and then came out to look at the shower and get me a more detailed quote which ended up right in line with what he had originally estimated. He was incredibly professional, honest, and knowledgeable, even helping me find and order the proper cleaning products so that I could maintain the shower myself in the future.

When researching cleaners, I did get a much cheaper estimate but decided to go with Ken because he was much clearer in his estimate and I didn't get the feeling that the final cost would end up skyrocketing from the original estimate (which I suspected might happen with the cheaper quote).

The quality of cleaning was top-notch. The shower looks almost like new again despite its disgusting appearance beforehand. I would absolutely recommend Wilhelm Hard Service Restorations to anyone in need of steam cleaning or other work with natural stone. I'm sure I'll be calling him up again in a year or two when we need the shower cleaned again, regrouted, or even for a carpet cleaning."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Septic tanks can clog if they aren’t pumped every few years since solid waste accumulates inside of them. Your tank might also clog if you have a habit of flushing anything other than human waste or toilet paper. Items like diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, cat litter, and personal hygiene products should never go down your pipes.

There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. This includes cleaning the drain line at least every three months, changing the filter every one to three months, and getting your AC serviced annually. Also, if any problems arise with your AC, hire an HVAC technician to deal with them ASAP.

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.

Baking soda and vinegar aren’t just great for making a volcano for your kid’s science project. You can also pour this dynamic duo down your shower drain to dissolve hair clogs. If that doesn’t do the trick, you can step it up with a commercial liquid drain cleaner.
