"I signed up for furnace special cleaning of $49 and I added air conditioning cleaning for an additional $49. I have had very little use of my A/C and it is only 6 years old. I have no problems with it. The tech replaced 2 parts and told me the cooling fluid will be outlawed in 2020. That doesn't apply to me because I would be grandfathered in with my fluid. He replaced two parts, which I believe were unnecessary, but I authorized it. He also thought there was a leak and said he's be back in the spring to check it. When all was said and done, the bill was $957 plus the $49 already paid through Angie's list. I have an invoice carbon that is unreadable and I have asked for another but have not received one. This was a clean-up job, not a service call. I'm not having them back and I'm cancelling my Angie's list subscription."

"Went great!! I loved that he could come out as soon as I needed and the earliest available appointment.  He was prompt, professional and got right to work assessing my sump pump and drainage around the house etc.  He also took the time to lay out my options for a battery backup and work to potentially re-route my drain pipe to the other side of the house and bury it to feed out to the forest vs right next to the house.  I felt way more informed that I had previously been.  He was able to complete the work quickly, efficiently, cleanly well under an hour.  Also, while he was there I asked if he could take a look at my furnace, I could not figure out how to replace the filter and he was able to show me right away.  I greatly appreciated this because I was really perplexed by this matter!!!   I found out My Service Pro does a variety of work and repair and I was happy to keep his information for future use.  I would definitely use My Service Pro again and recommend this company to my neighbors and friends.

"Ken Wilhelm did a fantastic job steam cleaning our shower. Initially, he emailed me a detailed estimate and then came out to look at the shower and get me a more detailed quote which ended up right in line with what he had originally estimated. He was incredibly professional, honest, and knowledgeable, even helping me find and order the proper cleaning products so that I could maintain the shower myself in the future.

When researching cleaners, I did get a much cheaper estimate but decided to go with Ken because he was much clearer in his estimate and I didn't get the feeling that the final cost would end up skyrocketing from the original estimate (which I suspected might happen with the cheaper quote).

The quality of cleaning was top-notch. The shower looks almost like new again despite its disgusting appearance beforehand. I would absolutely recommend Wilhelm Hard Service Restorations to anyone in need of steam cleaning or other work with natural stone. I'm sure I'll be calling him up again in a year or two when we need the shower cleaned again, regrouted, or even for a carpet cleaning."

"Levell and crew have done several jobs for us now. They finished our basement adding 4 bedrooms and a bath. They also had to put in 2 egress windows. The last time they did work for us they did kitchen and bathroom backsplashes and installed some flooring on our stairwell. Would highly recommend and will hire again"

"Beautiful! All subs respectful, professional and full of great ideas to make the house look great. Color coordination of house, trim and roof. Many neighbors have stopped and commented on the new look of the house. and on how polite and nice the workers were. Also, the yard was continually cleaned up as the old roof came off and at the end of each day"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should hire a sewer service professional to unclog a main sewer line with tree roots. Tree roots can grow into the main sewer line, and this problem requires a specialized hydro jet, or rooter, that is powerful enough to clear the roots. The tree can also damage the main sewer line, and a professional will need to make repairs or replace the damaged sections. Sewer line replacement costs about $60 to $250 per linear foot.

No, it is not advisable to spray pesticides down the drain in your home. Most drinking water and wastewater treatment systems are not properly equipped to remove pesticides. Should pesticides infiltrate waterways, they can cause harm to plants, fish, or other living things. In most areas, pouring pesticides down the drain is illegal due to the potential harm it causes.

The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain.

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels.

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

P.S.: If you do drop your priceless ring down the drain, take a deep breath, and then follow these steps to retrieve jewelry from your drain.

When you put baking soda and vinegar down the drain, they chemically react and help break down clogs. It’s not going to work for every type of clog, however. For example, it’s not the best way to get rid of grease buildup. For grease, you should try boiling water and white vinegar instead.

Air gaps get clogged by a few different means. Over time, food and grime can collect in the air gap, leading to a blockage. Mineral deposits from hard water are a common problem. Mineral buildup creates a film in the air gap and tubing, which can cause flow issues, as well as attract debris. Homeowners with hard water may want to remove mineral deposits regularly to keep the air gap clean and clear.
