I'm a local handyman focused on helping people with the jobs that need to get done but often get pushed aside. Whether it's furniture assembly, junk removal, small demolition projects, appliance installation, deliveries, or general home tasks, I take pride in doing the job right and treating every home with respect.\n\nI'm not a large company ? I'm an everyday person working hard to serve my community and build a business based on trust, reliability, and quality work. I believe communication matters, showing up matters, and paying attention to the details matters.\n\nNo matter how big or small the job is, I work hard to make sure my customers are satisfied and feel good about the results. I believe in going the extra mile, being honest about expectations, and leaving people feeling like they made the right choice when they hired me.

"This company is obviously nationwide and hires local contractors.  I trusted Agies List that all contractors are licensed, bonded and have background checks.  This person was a handyman and not qualified to wall mount, conceal wires, add electrical outlet.  He  spend five hours in my home, for a job that should have taken two hours and left the area in a disaster.  The TV was hung close to the ceiling, the wires were hanging down from the TV, and the receiver was sitting on top of a plaster box because the cord was too short.  He was obviously not qualified to install TV wall mounts.  I have photos.    As soon as he left, I called Best Buy Geek Squad.  They were able to come out the next day and mount the TV professionally.  I have used the geek squad in Virginia and they are highly qualified.  They charge more than this nationwide company but you get what you pay for.  I called Angies List the day after the disaster and said i did not want to rate this company but I wanted to talk to a manager. No one called me to apologize. I have cancelled my membership.  Do not use this company unless you can be assured that the local contractor is qualified and is licensed.  You should never let anyone into your home that has not had background checks.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Your Albert Lea home may need electrical upgrades if you experience frequent breaker trips, dimming or flickering lights, or still use two-prong outlets. Homes built before 1970 often have outdated wiring, like knob-and-tube or aluminum, which can be a fire hazard. If you lack GFCI outlets in wet areas or rely heavily on extension cords, it’s time to consider a wiring or electrical panel upgrade.

Helpful?

Upgrading your Albert Lea home’s electrical system enhances safety, supports reliable heating during cold winters, and allows for brighter, more efficient lighting. Modern wiring accommodates energy-efficient appliances and smart home features. Adding dedicated circuits for generators or electric vehicle charging stations also increases convenience, making your home more adaptable and comfortable in Minnesota’s challenging climate and shorter daylight months.

Helpful?

Schedule electrical work in Albert Lea if you notice burning odors, warm outlets, or buzzing from your electrical panel. After severe storms, inspect for moisture near wiring or circuit breakers. If you’re planning renovations, adding large appliances, or your insurance provider suggests updates, book a professional inspection before winter to ensure your home wiring and circuits are ready for increased seasonal demand.

Helpful?

Electrical upgrades in Albert Lea offer immediate safety improvements, reduce the risk of outages, and help lower energy use—especially important during harsh winters. Over time, you’ll increase your home’s value, minimize future repairs, and be ready for new technologies like solar panels or circuit breaker replacements. These improvements also make your property more appealing in the local real estate market and better equipped for Minnesota’s climate extremes.

Helpful?

For basic electrical maintenance in Albert Lea, keep a non-contact voltage tester, insulated screwdrivers, wire strippers, and electrical tape. A GFCI outlet tester helps ensure safety in kitchens and bathrooms. Flashlights and extra batteries are essential for outages, while surge protectors and outdoor-rated extension cords are useful during storms. Labeling your circuit breakers and keeping spare wire nuts and temporary lighting can help during emergencies.
