"Jim was prompt, knowledgeable, and communicative, figured out a creative way to get circuit in without re-trenching a line from the house, and took care of all contacts with consumers energy, city permits, and inspection. First class work, neat and professional. Because of Consumers delay it took a few weeks longer than expected but Jim kept us informed and near the top of his job queue. Super job."

"Bathtub removed and walk in shower installed. Only hiccup was the curtain rod which wasn't installed until after the tension rod fell twice. Rod wasn't installed at the desired height either but it will work with a shorter curtain."

Customers say: True professional

"Tom had to return 5 weeks later to finish the work as the wall being constructed by another contractor was not done. Upon calling him he was out within 2 days and finished up. He had already been paid in full. He said he would return and he did. I'd hire him again without reservations"

It can take anywhere from a few days to several months to draw up architectural plans, depending on the complexity of your project. Architectural plans are highly detailed documents that take time to complete, and any changes or alterations can significantly extend how long they take.

British architect John Nash is credited with creating the Italianate style of architecture. The style was further popularized in the U.S. by landscape architect Andrew Jackson Downing and architect Calvert Vaux. The style spread across the U.S. due to Downing’s popular book on the style and the availability of plans and materials due to the mass production of the Industrial Revolution.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

Yes, professionals can offer design advice and material selections that complement existing architecture.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.
