"I got a same day response after I entered the request online. The estimate was done the next business day, and the work was done 2 days after I contacted them approving the estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. The 2 men were on time and professional. They power washed the front and back porch areas, the front sidewalk, and the 2nd floor deck. Every area looks amazing. I was also told of some gutter issues they noticed while working. You would want to hire this company for power washing. They also do other work/repairs which is helpful to know of a reliable company when we need more work done."

"Project turned out great. Stain Deck and paint retaining wall and garage doors. Painter(s) showed up on time every day and not only the painter but also the owner showed up on site to walk through the project and answered all questions during and after the project. Best Check I have ever written."

"Brandon power washed my home, painted the front and the doors. It looks amazing! He also tackled a couple projects in the house that we had been putting off. Super friendly and professional. Will work with him again!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Whitewashing isn’t permanent, but it can last for a long, long time. When you apply it correctly or have a seasoned pro whitewash your brick, whitewashing can last for 20 to 30 years or longer. Whitewash is very durable and typically requires little maintenance, making it a great project for most DIYers.

The need for a topcoat on a painted deck depends on various factors, primarily the type of paint used and your desired level of protection. Many premium deck paint formulations are self-sealing, eliminating the necessity for an additional topcoat. These paints often have built-in additives that substantially protect against moisture, UV rays, and everyday wear and tear.

Staining a deck with a rag is typically a better option than using a brush, as it helps the stain penetrate deeper into the wood. However, both brushes and rags are best reserved for detailed work because using these tools on an entire deck can require tediously crawling around on your hands and knees. A pad applicator, sprayer, or roller are preferred alternatives to applying stain over the majority of a deck. Use a rag for railings and other detailed work, and let the wood soak up as much of the stain as possible before wiping away drips or pools.

A five-gallon bucket of deck stain will cover roughly 875 square feet in a single coat. Actual coverage will vary based on the type of wood you’re staining and the number of coats. If you plan on doing multiple coats, multiply the square footage by the number of coats to calculate how many buckets of stain you’ll need.

You should seal your deck every one to two years, but you’ll also need to clean and repair your wood deck throughout the seasons. You may want to hire a local house cleaning service to sweep and clean the deck thoroughly. These cleaning services cost around $50 per hour.

Inspect your deck at least once a year, and if you notice any damage or rot, expect to spend about $10 to $50 for simple DIY fixes or about $2,000 for professional repairs on more extensive damage.
