Customers say: Quality work

"Everything went well except that when the electrician installed a junction box (strangely, there wasn't one before), a large crack developed in the mirror. He stopped work immediately, called the issue to my attention and reported the problem to his boss. Streamline Electric called me promptly with assurances that they would have the mirror replaced. They were true to their word and, in fact, followed up with me several times to assure that the replacement was scheduled by the mirror company and then made sure that the electrician was present when the new mirror was installed so that he could finish the electrical work. Streamline gets the highest rating from me for outstanding customer service! Their professionalism and the quality of their electrical work was equally impressive as their customer service. I would use them again without hesitation and recommend them highly."

"Writer is a true professional and electrical guru. He arrived within the allotted time frame, got right to work and quickly identified the problem. He even welcomed me to watch him while he worked as he explained the intricacies of the electrical outlet (which was a GFCI multi-branched oulet, connected to other garage and bathroom outlets). It was clear he knew what he was doing. I would recommend him for any electrical problem or fresh installation, and plan to hire him in the future for other electrical projects I have around my house."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If you notice frequent breaker trips, burning odors, or flickering lights in your New Baltimore home, it’s time to consider electrical upgrades. Older homes—especially those built before 1980—often need panel updates or GFCI protection. Seasonal storms, adding a home office, or installing an EV charger are also signs you may need electrical improvements. High energy bills can indicate outdated or inefficient electrical systems needing attention.

Helpful?

In New Baltimore, be wary of quotes that are significantly lower than others, as this may indicate shortcuts or low-quality materials. Avoid professionals who only offer verbal estimates, pressure you to commit quickly, or refuse to provide written details. If they don’t mention required permits or local code compliance, lack New Baltimore references, or suggest outdated methods, consider these warning signs and prioritize clear, transparent communication.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in New Baltimore, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, wire strippers, and insulated screwdrivers. Stock up on GFCI outlets, wire nuts, electrical tape, and outdoor-rated extension cords—especially helpful during Michigan’s harsh winters and humid summers. If you plan larger electrical upgrades, have conduit, Romex cable, and electrical boxes available, but always consult a local professional for complex tasks.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in New Baltimore offers immediate safety improvements, reducing fire and shock risks—especially for homes built in the 1960s-1980s. In the short term, you’ll benefit from more reliable power, better lighting, and additional outlets for modern devices. Long-term, these upgrades can increase your home’s value, lower energy bills, support future technology like EV charging, and minimize unexpected repairs or insurance issues.

Helpful?

After finishing electrical work in New Baltimore, ensure you receive final inspection approval and keep all permits and certificates for your records. Test every new outlet and fixture, and update your home’s electrical documentation. Within a month, address any warranty concerns, notify your insurance provider of upgrades, and test GFCI outlets. Schedule annual inspections, and keep your electrical panel area accessible and free from clutter.
