Tanner Welsh was nothing but amazing. My desire was to change my stairs from carpet to hardwood. This job is not only and investment but if done incorrectly could be the worst nightmare ever. I saw warning pictures from other people who didn’t hire the correct company and I became very hesitant. I went to several home improvement sites and found Tanner’s company. I hired him for the job and currently I’m 100% satisfied. He was very professional. He completed the job in a timely manner. He’s trustworthy. I left him and his partner in my house without supervision for almost two weeks and no mishaps. Tanner if I could I would give you 10 stars. You’re compassionate about your work and it shows. Laminate flooring should be stacked horizontally and laid flat to avoid any warping or stress to the boards. Layering carpets can add a modest buffer against noise and temperature fluctuations, but it's limited compared to installing thicker carpet padding or using specialized soundproofing materials. For optimal floor insulation and soundproofing, consider alternative solutions tailored to your specific needs and budget, such as adding additional padding or soundproofing underlayments beneath the carpet.

Installing carpet padding is mostly a matter of measuring the room and cutting the carpet pad to size with a utility knife. You can save some money on carpet installation costs by doing it yourself. Before installing the carpet padding, you should install the tack strips around the room’s perimeter and prepare the subfloor by cleaning and making any necessary repairs. Then, unroll the carpet pad and cut sections as needed. Staple the carpet pad to the subfloor along the edges, leaving the tack strips exposed.
