Had new hardwood flooring installed in one part of the house and existing hardwood flooring refinished in another part. These guys did a great job with all of it. Friendly, prompt, and professional. We are very pleased with the outcome.

We are very pleased with CD Contracting and would highly recommend them. They took out old carpet, laced new hardwood into existing hardwood, sanded all and stained and polyurethaned. Excellent workmanship, easy and pleasant to work with, and fair pricing. We love our new floors!

I selected CD Contracting to redo my beat up Maple floors. I had unfinished areas, heavily scratched areas and dinged up areas. Craig was prompt and quick in getting the floors refinished. He also completed a previously carpeted floors with new walnut. The outcome was amazing they look like new floors. I would highly recommend. The only gripe I have is trash. I was left with a heap of carpet and old woodwork in my garage and had to clean it up. The price was affordable and results were great just wish this was explained / determined better.

This is the first time in a long time that a contractor actually did the job exactly as he promised. I would highly recommend this contractor.

We have never had our floors sanded and we are not sure if this was the best that could be done. Craig did not do the sanding or refinishing, his employees did. They moved the furniture for us. That was a big help. After the sanding and staining was complete we hired him to replace our baseboard moulding. Craig did the cutting of the moulding. There are many corners that will have to be redone when we redo our kitchen. Big gaps that caulk will not fill. He forgot to replace the moulding in the closets. I reminded him of this and he did finish the closets. But when he put the shoe moulding on, he forgot to nail down the moulding in the closet. I texted him about this and he said he would call me but that was about three weeks ago so I guess it will have to wait till the kitchen is done.

Craig and his team were great! They even came back after our dog ran over the wet floor and fixed it for us, at no cost! They did a wonderful job and our floors look amazing! We are thrilled!

Did not clean up. Dust everywhere. Left big garbage bags for me to haul away. Did not reinstall doorstops.

Great job overall. There was a couple of minor things that might have been done better. But the floors look great and we're happy with the outcome!

They did a very unusual job, that of sanding and sealing a cedar patio deck. Overall the job looks good, however being a boat refinisher myself they left far too much dust on the floor.

Review for CD Construction, Wood Floor Installation We had CD Construction put in a maple hardwood floor with a Brazilian cherry 3 inch feature strip and a 36 inch custom made medallion. The basic floor went well, but the finesse area where one expects an excellent job did not go well. Some examples are: the medallion is not even with the surrounding floor, there are parts that are higher and parts that are lower than the maple; one part edge of the medallion is not glued correctly, so it moves up and down as you walk on it; the trim piece on one side of our fireplace has ripples from sanding with too much force in some areas; nail heads were not countersunk and filled, so you can not only see the nail head, but also the area of wood which splintered as the nail went in (these are far enough from the wall that the molding does not cover them); you can see darkened areas of polyurethane where it pooled because the floor was not smooth and/or there was too much polyurethane put on the floor in that area, etc. We asked Mr. Douglas to come back to see our concerns and he did. His suggestion was to completely sand the floor, nail down the medallion where it was not secured (the instructions from the medallion company said nails should not be necessary if their installation instructions were followed) and then coat the floor with the three coats of polyurethane. This process is not usually needed for several years and much wear and tear and would shorten the life of the floor prematurely. We were concerned that if it was not done correctly in the first place and may not be done correctly the second time, so we chose not to have our brand new floor re-done by CD Construction.
