Welsh Custom Hardwood

Wow!!! Varies individuals write reviews when they’ve experienced horrible services or the service provider operated below the level of expectation. This is not the case with my review. Tanner Welsh was nothing but amazing. My desire was to change my stairs from carpet to hardwood. This job is not only and investment but if done incorrectly could be the worst nightmare ever. I saw warning pictures from other people who didn’t hire the correct company and I became very hesitant. I went to several home improvement sites and found Tanner’s company. I hired him for the job and currently I’m 100% satisfied. He was very professional. He completed the job in a timely manner. He’s trustworthy. I left him and his partner in my house without supervision for almost two weeks and no mishaps. Tanner if I could I would give you 10 stars. You’re compassionate about your work and it shows. You ensured the staining on the stairs was a perfect match to my Pre existing floor. You have an excellent brand. Keep up the excellent work.

The work was excellent. Very little waste of the wood. We had lots of transitions and some unusual steps to address - which made the cost a bit higher but worth it. The floor looks beautiful. Tanner, the owner, was very professional and attentive. I would recommend without hesitation.

Tanner Welsh was very polite and professional, showing us samples and matching the color of the rest of the wood in the house nearly perfectly. We got the wood ordered and delivered. Upon taking up our carpet we discovered that instead of subfloor underneath, there was already hardwood. Tanner gave us some options, and we decided rather than having it refinished, Tanner would remove the existing hardwood and continue with the installation. We had a hard deadline of when we needed it done and he still got the job done on time (earlier than he originally estimated, actually). Very satisfied with the result and appreciated Tanner's very easygoing attitude!

Great. It took two whole days and I felt comfortable giving them my key to let themselves in on day two while I was at work.

It went great, Welsh flooring was very clean and tidy, very prompt with show up times. Also, very effecient which allowed us to stay on track with our tight schedule. the guys took care of the products they were installing, and took many extra steps to ensure a very quality installation!

Welsh did an amazing job! Not only did they do a great install, they cleaned up all messes, put tools away every night and are very trustworthy! Our young kids were around during some of the install and Welsh accommodated them, even explaining tools to the kids!

Tanner and Welsh Hardwood flooring did a fantastic job. They even helped me come up with a solution when I was short on ordering product which then became discontinued. They were fast, affordable, courteous, and professional. I would give Tanner and his crew the highest recommendation possible.

Welsh helped us find beautiful, all-wood flooring, installed it and mouldings, also put in new stairs, balusters and railings. The project was completed about two months ago and we love it. We had company last night who had not seen our "new" house. That's what they said: "You have new house." That's the way we feel, too. I have shared pictures with co-workers and told them if they're getting new floors that there's no other choice but Welsh. We couldn't be more pleased with their work and their attention to detail. Beautiful job. The price below, without consulting notes, is for labor AND materials.

He arrived promptly each day according to his schedule. He had all his materials on hand. He worked quickly and efficiently. He was neat and organized. Very professional and friendly. Would hire him again.

He was very courtious & polite. He was respectful of our property. He kept us up to date with the time line so we knew just when to expect the job to be done. In the end he cleaned our floors and gave us a new dust mop and cleaner so we could take care of our new floors properly. He moved all of our furniture back, all four rooms, and had it looking just as it did in the beginning but with beautiful new floors.

From the moment we contacted Tanner, we were impressed by his kind and mild demeanor. Every question was given a reasonable and satisfying answer. He gave us the estimate. We took our time and finally decided on what flooring we wanted to use and called him. He told us to buy what we wanted and to leave it in the house for two weeks. We made a tentative time to start. As he promised, he called the day before to make sure we were ready.. He showed up exactly on time and completed the job in two days. He is a quiet and steady worker; very professional; and did a great job for us. We would hire him again in a minute.

I could not be happier with the work done. When the original shower had been put in, the subflooring around the drain was not done correctly. Over the next 8 months, water leaked out around the drain into the sub-floor. By the time Tanner took a look, it was ready to collapse from all the water damage. I had already received quotes from two other places, but knew the reputation of Welsh Building Group, and asked Tanner to give it a look. I am glad I did! All of the previous quotes were 2, 3 and even 4 times what he quoted me. I elected to give him the job, and he was great. The sub-floor and main floor were repaired stronger than they'd been to begin with, Tanner found tile that matched what we'd had to remove perfectly, and even did a few plumbing tweaks for us while he was in there - just because he saw something that needed fixing. There is no question I know who to call for any future projects.

Tanner's work is exceptionally professional in his approach to each and every task. The work was perfomed in an efficient and timely manner with emphasis put on cleaning up afterwards. The bamboo flooring laid down in the Sunroom was not put down in haste and therefore looks and feels terrific. He also has a keen eye for every small detail, making sure that each job is finished before moving on to the next. For example, he spent considerable time making sure the door trim was level and square. I appreciated his concern to my needs and wants, besides the fact that he kept my costs purposefully at a minimum. I felt that he did the assigned work specifically to what I asked him do at the outset. Would I reccomend Mr Welsh for further work? Absolutely!

Shingles blew off after a windstorm/ tornado. After the storm i had my roof repaired and shingles replaced. I needed my front porch redone because it was falling apart. He came by and told me what was needed to be done. First he did demolition and clean up. then he came over with all the materials to rebuild it so it was structually sound and beautiful. In a timely fashion. Then i noticed my leaky bathroom faucet so i called him up again and he came over and repaired it and now i'm a happy granny especially because he didn't rip me off. I'm ready to call him for further help on my next project. I would encourage other neighbors and community people to check him out.

Our kitchen was first on the list. He put the cabinets up quickly then the countertops and sink were installed. I was amazed at how fast he worked and how tidy he was. He always cleaned up after himself. Everything was done in a professional manner and with quality workmanship. The floors went in last and they were done with the same craftmanship. We replaced a large window in our living room and he took his time to make sure it was sealed properly. When it came time to gut the spare room, he spent as much time tearing our the plaster and prepping the walls as he did installing the new drywall. He again was very tidy and kept the dust to a minimum. When he was done the room looked great. I would hire him again for any job I needed to have done around the house. His price was very reasonable and I don't think you'll find a faster or neater builder.
