"Amaze Floor Care LLC is one of those few businesses that is appropriately named. The results are AMAZING. But it could just as easily be named "Awesome Floor Care LLC" or "Incredible Floor Care LLC" because the results are fantastic. Andre and Pamela are a great team. They are super friendly, punctual, reliable and work really hard. I have now hired them twice, once for two different houses. The first project involved stripping and polishing an old, beat-up linoleum floor in a basement. It was a large floor and had never been thoroughly cleaned in over 30 years. To my amazement, the floor looked really good when Andre and Pamela were done. They far exceeded my expectations given the age of the floor. I was so impressed with the first project, that I hired them a few weeks later to clean a ceramic tile floor with really dirty grout. Once again, they did a fantastic job. The tiles and grout look new! See the attached "before" and "after" photos. I highly recommend Amaze Floor Care LLC! They are great people who do great work! Excellent service all around."

Buffing and Polishing questions, answered by experts

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

Costs depend on stone type, surface condition, labor, and whether sealing or deep cleaning is required.

It depends on the material. Sandstone, slate, and granite can be slippery in wet weather. Applying a sealant to the stone can often stop it from absorbing moisture and may reduce the likelihood of slipping. If you're concerned about losing footing, a safer option might be bluestone or concrete.

When cleaning your patio, you’ll need to ensure the chemicals you use aren’t harsh enough to destroy the seal or stones. You can clean the stones with a mixture of white vinegar and water or soapy water and a scrub brush. Just be sure not to use wire brushes, as these can scratch the surface.

You generally cannot change the color of the natural stone, such as making granite countertops darker or lighter. Some people claim that certain chemicals will lighten or darken granite, but those will damage the stone and not provide uniform, expected results, so it’s better not to try. Similarly, some people ask whether they can stain over granite. Granite is beloved for its stain-resistant finish, so you probably won’t get the best outcome if you try to stain over granite to make it darker.

Instead, consider honing, painting, or applying another material over the top of the granite to make it appear darker.
