"The two men came Friday at 2:00 pm and quoted me a price. They said they could get a job done by dark and I gave them the go ahead. They repaired our chimney and was done in 3 hours. They were really good workers and did a super job. It rained last night and no leaks in the garage last night. We really would recommend them for chimney repair. I would give them a 10 out of 10. Thanks Angie for Shamrock Chimney Repair Co."

"Great!  I have used Lee two times since I have moved into my new home last year.  He cleaned the chimney back just after Christmas in 2014 and did a wonderful job.  Cost was around 150.00 and he did not try and tell me a bunch of stuff was wrong.  Even told my husband how to fix the flue frame his self to save on cost.
They came back again this spring to take care of some pintucking our inspector pointed out during the winter (could not be done at that time due to the cold) and also to fix a 5x5 porch landing that was made of brick in a herringbone pattern that the morter had started to crumble on.  Looked wonderful once they were done.
Very timely, courteous and well priced.

"From start to finish, we had an excellent experience with Professional Chimney Service of Michigan. The service representative, James, called early in the window of expected time to say he would be arriving at the end of the window so we weren't waiting for two hours in expectation. He arrived as promised, was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough. He cleaned and inspected our chimney and gave estimates on repairs we already knew were needed. Overall great experience and we'll recommend this company to family and friends."

"Imagine you are in the middle of painting your house and the painter refuses to repair the chimney because it was so bad. I fortunately contacted Specialty. I was given 3 weeks to review by other companies but Nosh not only came that evening, he left to look to match 50+year old bricks AND he was by my house at 7:30 the following morning AND tore down and replaced my entire chimney in less than 48 hours and did a skillful masterful job, (we are not related, I am just super happy to have contracted Specialty"

"Gary called before he came for the initial estimate and again on the day before the work was to be performed.
He arrived on time and did an excellent job in repairing my chimney.
He seems to be very knowledgeable about masonry and I plan on using him again for future projects.

"we purchased the 'big deal' to have this job completed.  the work was completed in one visit and the work area was cleaned.  a representative from elysium came to our home shortly after we purchased the 'big deal' and took a look at the job and also gave us a quote on having the room painted. he was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. unfortunately the quote for painting was more than we wanted to spend so we stuck with only scheduling the wallpaper removal covered the the 'big deal'.  it took quite a while to have the work scheduled and the date of service had to be changed a few times. my understanding is that elysium hired another company or contract workers to complete the 'big deal' work for them.  this seemed to cause some of the difficulty in scheduling.  it was fine as we were not in a hurray. at any rate, the wallpaper was all removed within about three hours (the 'big deal' was for 8 hours or 2 men for 4 hours - we got one person).  i was hoping since we still had time left in our alloted 8 hours that the walls would have been repaired a bit more. as is typical with wallpaper removal they were pretty damaged.  in all fairness however we were told only minor wall damage would be repaired so perhaps the damage was considered too extensive and out of the scope of what was covered.  overall we were satisfied with the work and the price and definitely happy to say 'goodbye' to the 80's wallpaper.

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

Pros cover many fixes, from upholstery renewals to joint reinforcement.

It is generally worth repairing leather furniture rather than replacing it, as it is typically more affordable and the material tends to retain its value. A typical repair averages around $250, which is significantly less than the thousands of dollars a replacement could cost. Even a full reupholstering, which can cost up to $4,000, may still be more economical than buying new. With proper care, repaired leather furniture can last for many years, making the investment worthwhile. However, if the underlying structure or frame of the furniture is damaged or malfunctioning, replacement might be a better option. The quality of the leather and the furniture piece are also important factors. For a definitive answer, it is best to consult a leather repair professional to assess your specific situation.

Minor water damage on wood tables can be reversed fairly easily. You can remove stains and light surface damage with a sandblock, then repaint and re-varnish the wood surface. For swollen and rotten wood, you can cut away the damaged parts and use a wood filler as long as the affected area isn’t too much.

There are a few reasons that a drawer won't come out. Most of the time, there's an obstruction of some sort preventing the drawer from acting normally. The key to figuring out the problem is investigation and patience.

If possible, open the drawer as far as it will go and shine a flashlight inside to see if something in the drawer is hitting the cabinet frame. Or, remove a drawer above or below the offending one and use the flashlight to investigate the drawer slides. Discovering the cause will likely provide the necessary information to develop a solution.

Yes, you can save moldy wood furniture by removing the mold as soon as you notice it. Mold can penetrate and damage porous wood, though, so waiting to clean it could lead to significant damage. If a large coverage area of mold grows over several months, you may want to ask a professional to try to save the piece. If the damage is bad enough, though, even a pro might not be able to save it.
