". I contacted the company and spoke with the owner whose name was Brian. We set up a time for him to come out and meet and look over the project. He came out and looked over the project and told me the different things that he can do for this project which was painting all of my trim in the front of the house and around the fireplace outside and replacing any rotten wood that needed replacing. After discussing all of that, I waited for a bid. Weeks later I got a bid email to me. Then I began to call him to ask when he would be starting the job as I agreed on part of the bid not the whole amount and we agreed on a price for the job that I thought was going to be a full painting of all the trim that needed and all the wood trim that need to replacing or fixing. I didn't hear from him for weeks. He did not return my calls. Or my text messages. When he finally did he had a guy come out to start the job. After he had told me it would take a couple weeks for the job to be complete weeks into the job. It wasn't even 1/2 way done. The guy who only came here a couple times a week did not have a contracting license or carpentry license. I was told and that he was newly hired but did have some experience. We needed two pillars in front of the house, the trim around the bottom of the pillars replaced because the wood was wet. Once they remove the old trim they could not do the work for 2 weeks until the wood dried. I waited for them to get this job done and once they did it it had to be redone on one of the pillars because the cut was off and there was gaps and cracks in the miter 45° angle cut. It looked horrible. They tried to fill it in with **** but that only separated because of the weather. They did the same to the other pillar and once the snow recently melted there's cracks and gaps. They used a much brighter paint and didn't match it exactly to the paint of the trim of the house. They did not paint all of the trim or scrape prime and paint two coats of paint on all the trim like I believe that they were going to do from the bid given. They left three quarters of gallon of paint for us to finish the trim and I agreed that we would finish it because the job that they'd already done was not done to my satisfaction. Two parts of the house that they did fix that was extra money from the original bid. They did a good job on and that was trim around the side door of the garage and then the left bottom trim of the garage. And the paint trim around the fireplace. The rest of it looks horrible. They used wood filler which we discussed that they could use but it didn't dry in time and they painted over it and it actually ran the paint and the wood filler and as well as some of the paint that they did in the cold temperatures. They said that the job was finished. Which it is not. I recently got an invoice sent for a balance of $1511.80. When the job is not complete and it's not done to our satisfaction and it's not done professionally and it's not done by a professional carpenter/ contractor. I'm very disappointed and slightly aggravated at the lack of professionalism and integrity of this company. Numerous excuses were made. Why the job was not done on time. And done correctly. One reason an excuse was that two men quit in the company. Another excuse was two men were sick. Another excuse was they had too many jobs to get to our job. Our job was not a priority. Another excuse was the miter saw malfunctioned on one day. One excuse was the weather was not conducive to the job being done on certain days. And when we did have adequate weather to complete this job that was stated it would take 2 weeks to do. They said they don't work weekends. I feel that I should not have to pay them another dollar for this job that is not done to my satisfaction. It is not done correctly. And the job is not complete."

Communication is of the utmost importance at JLM and pride ourselves with being available 24-7. JLM offers over 25 years of experience and knowledge in the industry and have earned a long list of extremely satisfied repeat clientel that are willing to be a reference and offer their homes as a tour. The company is owner-operated, and owner is hands on for the entire construction process as well as being the project manager. "I hired JLM Home Solutions to install all my interior doors and closets including frames/casings in my upstairs. Jason was a horrible person the entire time I hired him. He acted like a nice person just to get hired. I regret hiring him. Unfortunately I had signed a contract by the time I found out he was no good. Every time I brought up something that was not done right, he’d yell and raise his voice at me. He’s very rude and unprofessional with the worst customer service. He was rude on text, rude on phone and rude in person. Jared, I guess one of his employees was a great person, very polite and did an amazing job. He worked on the project in a professional manner. He didn’t come back though to finish the project because Jason sent another person instead, David, who did an awful job. Jason didn’t want to hear it that David’s work was not the greatest. I had to put a stop payment after I found out one of the closet doors wasn’t installed right and other things that were wrong. Jason got so upset that he had to come back to fix the problem after I told him I didn’t want David. Jason came to my house but failed to fix the problem still. Instead he made me feel threatened in my own house. He was all in my face yelling at me saying nothing was wrong with the closet. Even my little dog was scared. I had to call my daughter and son to come over because I was so terrified that he was maybe going to hurt me. I stayed on the phone all the time while he was there so someone could hear his abusive behavior. That day after Jason left, I had to get a second opinion on the closet. Another contractor couldn’t believe the way the closet was installed and for Jason to insist it was okay. He left the old frame on and didn’t want to here when I mentioned it. I’ll have this closet removed and a new one with new frame installed the right way. I had to insist Jason deduct some money for that closet from the balance owed to him. A couple of days later, I noticed my kitchen door they installed still had cracks on the inside frame close to the lock. I had mentioned that to him. I texted him to let him know with pictures showing the cracks. Now Jason won’t respond to my text, email or phone. I asked him to send one of his guys to fix the door. Not him because I don’t want him around me. I’ve tried everything to get to him. I know he’s ignoring me. I paid him so much money for this project. If I don’t hear from him I’ll have no choice but to file small claims. He cannot leave my door like that after I paid him so much money and thinks he can just get away with it. If there was an option of zero stars, that’s what I’d have given JLM."

"They do not stand behind their product. I had epoxy put over my swimming pool cement area. They told me it would not show cracks. After two months cracks started to appear. They said lets go through the winter to see how it survives. In the meantime I have many multiply cracks and can not get them back to fix them. This summer I have called them five times to only get the answer we are really busy. I would never use their product outdoors or recommend them. as you can see I gave them five stars right after the job was complete. That was a big mistake on my part. I would rate them a 1 star at this point. Not a happy customer."

The cost of an epoxy floor is $2,430 on average, ranging from $730 to $5,300. Factors that impact the overall cost include the total square footage, the type of epoxy, and any decorative options.
The epoxy flooring cost in a one-car garage is $720 to $2,900. However, that cost jumps to $1,100 to $4,300 for a two-car garage, which is 360 square feet on average. Adding decorative flakes to your flooring costs roughly $10 per 250-pound bag, but if you want metallic epoxy, that’ll cost you between $5 and $12 per square foot.
An epoxy floor can last between 10 and 20 years, depending on the material and its frequency of use. Factors like heavy foot traffic, sunlight exposure, and the weight of vehicles on it impact the overall longevity.
To ensure your floor lasts as long as possible, clean it often, as debris buildup can scratch the epoxy. Remember never to use any kind of rough pads, only a soft mop, to avoid scratches as well. In addition, if your epoxy coating needs repair, it’s best to repair it as quickly as possible to avoid more significant damage.
The cost to convert a carport into a garage averages about $22,000, ranging from about $15,000 and $55,000. Additional cost factors to consider include size, time of year, and how much of the carport you can reuse. Other cost factors include the kinds and amounts of materials used, such as:
Add insulation: $1 per square foot
Add drywall: $1–$3 per square foot
Add window: $450–$2,000 per window
Add outlets: $75–$500
Add garage door: $250–$11,200
Enclose framing: $5–$13 per square foot
Replace roofing: $1,000–$2,000
The cost to build a detached garage for two cars costs about $26,400 on average. Prices range from $19,200 to $33,600, depending on your location, the garage size, height, materials, and site prep required. Additional cost factors include any plumbing, electrical wiring, and insulation. If you need to build a concrete foundation for a new detached garage, you can expect to pay $1,000 to $8,600 for this essential addition.
The average cost to remodel a garage is around $18,000, ranging from $1,500 to $50,000, depending on size, materials, location, and other factors like plumbing and electrical. Garage remodels that include changing the roof and walls add significant expenses to the project. Plus, you can expect to pay about $1,400 for the building conversion permits. For a simple remodel, like painting interior walls and recoating the garage floor, it will cost about $2 to $5 per square foot.
