The weight capacity depends on the construction method and the quality of the hardware.  Basic side-mount slides often support 50 pounds, but less expensive versions may be rated lower. Properly built drawers with dado joints and heavy-duty, full-extension slides can typically support between 75 and 100 lbs. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s weight rating for your specific drawer slides.

Sealing a cabinet after staining is optional but recommended for best results. Wood sealer keeps out moisture, which protects against scratches, warping, chipping, discoloration, and mildew. Sealer not only preserves the appearance of wood furniture but, like staining, enhances it by accentuating the wood’s natural color and grain.

Preparation is the most crucial and, really, the only secret to a lasting paint job on laminate cabinets. Paint will peel off laminate surfaces that aren't clean and grease-free. Paint will also peel off if there isn't proper etching on the cabinet surfaces. Taking time to deep clean and lightly but thoroughly sand before priming and painting will greatly increase your chances of success and help keep the paint from peeling.

All inset cabinets are face frame cabinets, but not all face frame cabinets are inset cabinets. You have three main cabinet door styles to choose from with face frame cabinets: inset, partial overlay, or full overlay. With inset cabinets, the doors and drawers are mounted inside the face frames, so the fronts of the cabinets are flush when everything is closed.

If your cabinet doors feel too low or too high, you may have an issue with your hinges as well. Try tightening the screws on your hinges. If that doesn’t work, you can loosen your screws on the hinges, adjust the door slightly up or down and then tighten them again.
