"The shower replacement was measured by the salesman, who measured the shower dimensions inside the old fiberglass shower by instruction from the owner. After materials were ordered and the old shower removed. The shower base was too short by 7 inches and too narrow by 1 1/2 inches. I asked the owner to requote with a larger shower base. This would have added an additional $5000 to the project. The shower has a seat in it. The additional 7 inches in length would have given us more manuverability. Pros: The installer was great, 5 stars. The owner wrote off $350 extra work to remove a soffett to make the shower taller. Cons: The salesman promised a larger shower, it wasn't. We ordered brushed nickel fixtures and got chrome. The shower was smaller than it could have been. Owner and salesman 2 stars. I would have liked the option to remove the old shower and then do the measurements. The shower turned out nice, but we were dissappointed with the size."

"It was a steady process. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but with Renaissance & myself working as a TEAM on this project, everything was done & done well. I do believe that is KEY on any project, especially one of this size. I told Jamie at the beginning of the project that communication was VERY important to me. "Worst ever experience, lies and twisting promises. 3 months behind left the basement uncompleted and had to except a lot of changes we did not want. They say that they will right it in the plans then never do it. They admit they are shady but not the worst at it. The said that is how they can make money. Completely untrust worthy and horrible quality!!!!!! "

Last summer, we started with a plan to simply paint the exterior. But the project slowly unfolded into something much larger. In addition, the new bathroom was connected (jack and jill style) to the main bedroom to create a master suite. It only cost one additional door, but it is now WAY beyond what we imagined. ** We originally wanted to build a deck on the front of the house, but Bronson helped to create a design for a covered porch with vaulted ceilings and a clever lower surround that blended with the lake environment. ** We found a number of structural issues with the old house during demolition. Bronson developed very clever and cost-effective ways to resolve floor, wall and joist issues. ** During each phase of the construction, Bronson developed thoughtful and clever touches. The lofted garage included an old second floor door for ventilation, and Bronson designed a design the new door that retained some of the prior feeling with a new and fresh update. ** We wanted to retain some of the historical feel to the interior, and Bronson cleverly retained some of the original paneling without feeling overwhelming. He framed the wall to make it a focal point without looking old. It is one of my favorite parts of the house. The lake cottage has been in our extended family for almost 50 years. It has been a great retreat for us, but it is now a proper home with personality and functionality to match. This project has literally transformed the house. We would highly recommend Bronson and Brawny Builders for any remodeling project. We were lucky to find them."

"We got quoted to add a bathroom and small bedroom in our basement. In the contract, it said it would take 4 weeks to finish the job, with a stated number of hours worked per week that they never came close to acheiving. Most days they either didn't show up, or only worked a couple hours. They often said they would show up in the morning, and would cancel or not show up til around noon. They installed a shower with the walls on the wrong side and numerous other problems. They didn't even know that the water line for the toilet goes on the left side, not the right. They built a wall that they said would be flush to the existing wall, and was flush at one end, with a 1 inch gap at the other. Their plan for putting in an egress window was completely stupid. And they wanted to put in a 5 inch riser for a sanipro toilet, when there was not supposed to be one. A quick youtube search showed the proper way to install it. They told us they didn't need to pull permits. We were later told by the inspector that they should have and he recommended that we contact a lawyer because their work was completely unacceptable. We fired them after 2 weeks, he kept the down payment money that we gave him, and we have to pay another contractor to fix their work and finish the job."
