"TimberRidge Pro did a fine job on our master bath renovation . AJ was great at offering ideas and suggestions for products to use. He actually met us at Home Depot to help us make choices! That was VERY impressive! He began our job 2 weeks early (what contractor does that?) and had all of our products ready to go. He covered all of the areas leading to the bathroom and kept the job site neat and clean. That is also a biggie, because many contractors and their helpers leave messes! Not TimberRidge Pro! They clean up their worksites as if they were their own homes. After 6 days, we had a new entire shower, vanity with lighted mirror, sink and quartz sinktop, new luxury vinyl flooring, all new lighting, a plumbing problem from the old shower resolved, a new access panel to the shower installed, and the bathroom painted nicely. We had an issue with the glass shower door. It came in defective from the supplier. AJ obtained a new shower door that was much sturdier, tore out the bad one and replaced it with a much better door. (We split the cost of the upgraded glass door). AJ honored all of the line items in our contract and totally took care of some minor things on our punch list with ease. His price was reasonable and our new master bath looks amazing! We would highly recommend TimberRidge Pro for your next bathroom project and we would certainly use this contractor again!"

A sprinkler pump should last about 15 years before it starts requiring repairs more often. If your sprinkler pump is older than 10 to 15 years, you may want to start considering a replacement before it causes water leaks (and higher water bills) or more costly damage to other parts of the sprinkler system.

In most cases, no, you shouldn’t run your sprinklers every day. Most lawns need one to three watering sessions per week, depending on the grass type, amount of rainfall in your area, and soil type. However, there is an exception: If you have newly seeded or sodded grass, you should water your lawn twice per day for the first few weeks.

You can calculate the number of sprinklers per zone by looking at your water pressure (PSI), flow rate (GPM), and the performance of your sprinkler. Depending on the water pressure, the sprinkler head will use different amounts of water. As an example, at 40 PSI, a rotor head might use 3.5 GPM. If your water capacity is 10 GPM, you can place three heads in each zone. 

Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:

  • Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose. 

  • Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage. 

  • In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes. 

  • Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.

  • Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.

Each sprinkler zone should have five to 10 sprinkler heads. The water source for sprinkler systems has an average of 30 to 50 PSI and 5 to 8 GPM. On the lower end of these ranges, you’ll need fewer sprinkler heads per zone. The number of sprinkler heads per zone you need ultimately depends on the size of the zone, the water pressure, and the flow rate.
