Busy Beavers Moving & Storage

Lies and stealing-read on. This company has no integrity. I had hoped to write a good review as everything started out nicely even though they were 1-1/4 hours late.Terry and Ryan were personable and seemed to work hard loading the truck. As they were nearing the end of loading they lamented not bringing a second truck as there was not enough room on their truck for all of my items. I moved 45 minutes away and after arriving at my new home I went back to get more things loaded in my car and left my girlfriend in charge. I tipped them $50 each before I left as I thought they might be gone before I got back. As I arrived back to my new home the guys had finished and my girlfriend filled out the check for 11 hours with the senior discount. I was wiped out from a long day and as they left I noticed the house seemed empty, the rooms were devoid of all the boxes I had packed and labeled per room. I asked my girlfriend where they were and she said I told them to put all the boxes in the garage. Lie #1! I never did, why would I label all the boxes per room? I went to the garage and it was filled so I could hardly get through, boxes stacked, half of them upside down and some crushed. I was chagrined. As I awoke the next day I started adding up in my head the hours they put in and it didn't make sense as they told me they would subtract lunch and cigarette breaks of which there were many. I called the company and they told me they charged me for 9-1/2 hours, $50 to make a side trip to pick up a washer/dryer a mile away and said my girlfriend tipped them $200. Lie #2, #3 and #4. To shorten the story, the owner refunded $250 to me, the workers got to keep the cash I gave them and it's cost me several days extra work for their lack of placing the boxes where they belonged. I had to rent a U-haul to get the rest of my stuff and hire someone to help me move the boxes to their respective rooms as several needed two people and a dolly. As far as I'm concerned the company should have refunded me the full price as it's cost me more than that because of their incompetence.

An armoire foot broke when trying to move but the rest of the furniture move went fine.

It was the best move ever!  They moved fast and got it all packed up in record time and were just as fast bringing it into my new house!!  They listened to all I said and took care with special items and were very nice young man.  I could not have asked for an easier move.  I hope I never have to move again but if I do I will use them..!!!

I can not  say enough about  my  positive  experience  with  Busy Beavers.  They  were  awesome!  The  crew  I  had  was  Dave, Terry,&  Mike.  They  worked  their  brains  out  on  both  ends  of  the  move. (  and  it  was  a  big  move).   They  spent  a  full  day  loading  our  stuff in  Port  Huron.  The  next  day, they  drove  to  Ohio and  were  here  until  10 pm.  Then,  they  had  to  drive  back  to  .report  for  work  first  thing  the  next  morning.  -Wow! 

Through  it  all:  They  were  kind, helpful, careful,  courteous ,  thorough, and  professional  from  start  to  finish.

I  spoke  with  other  movers  who  told  me  B..B'S.  were  cheap  because  they  were  not  professional  or  reliable.   If  you  hear  that -  Do Not Believe  Them.  

In  my   opinion : Anyone  in  the  Blue  Water  area  who  ever, ever  needs  anything  moved  must  use  Busy   Beavers.  They  are  as  excellent  as  they  are  inexpensive!   I  endorse them  1000%

They were quick.  They won't waste a lot of time.  They're pretty quick with getting done with it.  They give discounts for the military.

The crew and truck arrived on time. The workers were courteous and professional. They worked hard and did not take many breaks. There were no damages to any of our possessions. I have referred them to many of my customers as I am a Realtor.

We have moved countless times and been disappointed each time for various reasons. Fortunately we chose Busy Beavers for this move, as it has been our BEST experience yet. They move took place during one of the biggest blizzards that virtually closed Cheboygan and later I75 making the drive and work extra difficult.  These guys were amazing, not one complaint about the severe weather conditions, made sure there were blankets on all of the interior floors, covered our belongings when they were brought in, and even went through the trouble of stomping their boots each time they entered the house. Bob Pelkey and Mike McGregger represented their company exceptionaly well by being professional, friendly and completing our move without damaging ONE thing. I cannot say enough good things about them.  The weather made for some extreme work conditions and when they were finished, they had to drive back to Port Huron.  I would go out of my way to hire them in the future. It is well worth the money. 
Family and friends were very impressed by these gentlemen and were sorry they had not chosen them from any of their moves. Everyone has Busy Beaver's phone number now and will use them for future moves, and even storage, which is another fantastic feature the company offers.  Don't waste your time with other companies-so many of them are simply renting U-Hauls and hiring workers by the move, making them very un-experienced and likely to make for a bumpy ride; for you and your belongings.

Great company and a great crew. Had all of our small things in boxes and they took care of the rest. They work hard, cleanly, and quickly.
