"Shawn and crew were amazing to work with! We had a challenging landscape project on a new build and they did a beautiful job negotiating a difficult circumstance! Shawn is easy to work with, has a great eye for landscape design, and excellent communication and customer service skills. He went above and beyond to make sure things went well. I would absolutely recommend Quality Outdoor Services to anyone looking for a landscape designer!"

Hank and Eric arrived on time and spent a bit of time surveying the walls and determining where to begin.  We had already removed all furnishings except for the TV cabinet and a bookcase that is 7-8 feet tall.  Those two items were the most difficult to move - so we scooted them into the center of the great room.  Hank & Eric began by covering all furniture, floors, and light fixtures, kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, and counter tops with plastic sheeting.  Then they began the process of repairing, adding drywall screws (probably close to 100 screws) - and plastering over the top of each screw - Eric took care of the repairing and re-screwing - while Hank began painting the edges of the ceiling.  By lunchtime - they took a break and left for lunch.  We turned on the fans and advanced the thermostat to help dry the plaster.
After lunch both painters began painting the ceiling.  While Eric rolled the ceiling Hank started cutting in the trim on the walls.  They have painted together for so many years that they really don't need to talk much - they know how to proceed and were very efficient.  At the end of day one the ceiling was finished and the first coat of paint for the walls was completed.  They removed the plastic protection for paint/plaster speckles from the ceiling - cleaned up their rollers and brushes - covered the paint containers and promised to return the next AM to apply the 2nd coat of paint to the walls and do the feature wall.
Early Friday AM we received an early call from Eric explaining that the roads were quite icy - and their drive time would be longer.  We cleared out the garage so they could park their van in the garage - it was actively snowing and quite wet and sloppy.  Both painters helped us to draw a line on the feature wall - it took some finessing - our walls are not as straight as we'd like - so we had to cheat a bit.  Hank and Eric were a bit uncertain about the colors for the feature wall and wanted to be certain that I was comfortable with my color selections before they began trimming that wall.  Hank stood on his tippy toes and painted both left handed and right handed - drawing the straightest and most beautiful lines.  We were very impressed - and a bit scared he would topple off the ladder.  While Hank finished trimming the feature wall - Eric finished rolling the other walls and then rolled paint on the feature wall following Hank's trim.
They turned the ceiling fan on to dry the feature wall - went to lunch at Taco Bell - and returned to add the 2nd coat to the feature wall.  Then - we all took several steps backward to assess the painted walls - and admire their work.  All of us loved the finished product and agreed that the colors were perfect.   Hank and Eric began cleaning up all the tarps, brushes, paint pails, etc.  After clean-up Chris stopped by with the bill and asked us to complete a Post Project survey .  We were more than happy to do that - Our comments on the survey summarize our experience: Hank & Eric, very talented, very particular, highly professional, extraordinary talent!  We highly recommend their work!

"It went well and it looks nice and neat at first sight . I did not notice all the cords bunched up next to the mantle until after the technician left. That does not look so nice. It is on the far corner and is not noticeable when walking into the room, but is very noticeable when on that side. It is something I will have to deal with ."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.

Options include pathway lights, spotlights, and smart lighting systems. Choose based on function and aesthetics.

Outdoor lighting repairs typically take between 1-3 hours. The exact duration can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the ease of access to the lighting fixtures and wiring.

Yes, most services include testing the system after repairs. Confirm with your provider.

Testing tools, such as Christmas light testers, non-contact proximity electrical testers, and multimeters, all simplify the process of testing Christmas lights. However, without one or more of those tools, testing Christmas lights the old-fashioned way only works sometimes. Without testing tools, the simplest testing method is visual inspection, which may or may not yield positive results.
