I used light of day because he offered the best deal. His team walked off the job the first day and left all there equipment and materials all over my front yard and driveway. They broke holes threw the decking of the roof while ripping off the shingles and got everything in my roof covered in debris. It took me weeks to Clean it up(nails,broken bits of wood, pieces of old shingle, dust, dirt, etc..) The flashing they installed around my chimney apparently wasn't done right and it has been leaking since they did the roof in 2020 and now there is exterior wall damage I tried getting in contact with them when I noticed that their were shingle on the corners of my roof that were never cut and that the attic still has moisture near the chimney. I called and left voice-mail, emails, text. And no contact back. We are now having our bedroom remodeled and had the wall opened up and there is still an active leak. The wood is rotten and light of day will not contact me back!!! Beware!!!!

Got to my roof in about two weeks and got the job done quickly. Very fair and honest pricing. Crew was respectful and efficient. Even though it ended up over the quote he stuck to the quote price and was upfront and honest about everything. Both the Owner and his wife are very nice and incredibly helpful. Couldnt br happier with the quality of the roofing job and the warranty/service provided. Recommended to anyone who needs roofing work.

The team worked on my roof from early morning until almost sundown, and came back the following morning to finish cleaning up. They did a great job!

It seems as if it was a ton of work but the team worked pretty tirelessly from 8AM to 7PM at night to get the job done. Overall, the roof looks really good with only a minor complaint about the A/C cover being scratched but John has assured me this will be rectified. All windows and garage doors were covered so as to not incur any damage. The cleanup was awesome. I have yet to find any nails or left over shingles anywhere in the yard.

Update: 5/13/2021 John followed up and fixed up all the issues. Original review - 11/09/2020 John did a good job of explaining different options available for our roof replacement and also quoted less than others. However, they did a very poor job and because of their carelessness, I have to now hire someone else to fix those issues. Their crew broke one of the roof truss webs, did not use insulated flex ducts for bathroom exhausts, did not cut holes (i.e., excess plywood) under the existing roof vents so the attic does not have improved air-flow. I have been trying to get a hold of john (for the last 6 months) and have sent him numerous emails and called multiple times but I did not hear back yet. I expected better professionalism and customer support from John and fix these issues.

I am 100% satisfied with the roof and vent replacement that I had done. The owner and workers were very professional and great to work with. Everyone was very friendly and took the time to answer any questions I had and address any concerns. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a roof done, you will not be disappointed with the quality of work and professionalism. I will recommend this company to all my friends and family if they need roof work done.

Crew was very professional and each nite they cleaned up very well...our job was completed within the time frame we were told...We are very happy with our new roof and would clearly recommend them to others.

John came the same day to give us a quote. We liked his estimate. After hiring them, they were back in just a few days to do the work. The house and garage roofs were completed in two days. Clean up followed. And in the end, the total price was less than what was quoted. We were very surprised and delighted. We love the new roofs! We love Light of Day.

The owner John got back to us right away and came out same day for an estimate. The work was done fast and efficiently. All communication and followup was prompt and professional. We have another, larger roofing project this spring and we will be using them again!

Some roof cap shingles were blown off by the wind. John came and saw the problem immediately. He sent Sam to fix the problem. He let me know that I was not in any immediate danger of leaking despite the roof caps being off. That was a relief.

They were in and out quick. The crew was pleasant and efficient. It was the only company that was interested in the job after being told that I had already purchased all of the materials --- that made me wonder how unreasonable the mark-up on materials would have been for any of the other contractors. I was very pleased with the entire experience of dealing with Light of Day Construction.
