"Stohl Painting was excellent. Nathan and crew were extremely careful, very detailed oriented , and took much pride in their work. They did extensive prep work to the walls and ceilings of our home which had not been repainted since the orginal construction in 1997. They repaired nail pops, cracks, etc. and smoothed the walls prior to applying paint. They were very thorough in covering floors, furniture, light fixtures, etc.and vacuumed, dusted, etc. after painting was completed. Our home has 19' ceilings in the great room that includes an open staircase. This presented no problem as they were able to safely utilize ladders, etc. and avoided having to assemble scaffolding. I am very pleased with the quality of paint used, it is very washable and looks great. Our deck railing looks outstanding. Nathan chose to use a colored stain over an oil based primer and the color match to our home was exact. We were so pleased with how this deck turned out that we have asked Nathan and crew to return this spring to repair and repaint our entire front porch railing and column system. A job this large will have the occsional missed area or repair that was not noticeable during the day but became visible at night. Stohl Painting immediately corrected any areas that were less than perfect that either we found or they observed when they would inspect the previous day's painting. This was a big job. Nathan had originally estimated seven days of work with a full crew, we added items after they started, the railings were delayed numerous times due to rain, etc, and we then decided to repaint a downstairs stairwell and attached large gameroom, which added another three days. In total, the painting job took almost a month to complete, with at least one person and usually two or three of his crew here daily. But my husband and I could not have possibly done all this painting ourselves without it taking months and we certainly would not have produced the quality finish Stohl Painting provided."

"Great job by Dennis and his crew. The quote was in the same ball park as the 4 others. Actually 1 was considerably higher. We selected MHI though because we felt confident they would do a good job and Dennis, the Vice President, was not only very observant from the get go but very, very helpful before we even told him we would go with MHI to do the work. Dennis was incredibly helpful with color suggestions and faux suggestions. The crew he selected was great and a couple of guys were doing prep work and painting while another was working on wallpaper removal  Dennis himself did the faux which was a 2 day process and he would not leave until we were more than 100% satisfied and happy. To say Dennis and the crew he selected knew what they were doing would be a huge understatement. There is no doubt we will be hiring them again when needed.

In preparation for the approaching cold months, and inevitably spending more time in doors, we wanted to make sure that all of our major updates were finished before the cold Michigan weather came sweeping in to spoil the summer fun. So naturally it was decided that the time had come to remove the awful wallpaper in the den and master bathroom!
 I met with four contractors, Elysium's bid was admittedly higher in price. However, based on their outstanding reputation and the detail and clarity that their estimator brought to the table we signed the contract.
All of the work was completed as promised and within the given time frame. There were no nasty surprises when the materials invoice came and the ghastly wallpaper is gone for good. Looking forward to spending time in my updated den this winter, thank you Elysium for doing a great job!

"We have a 75 year old home in West Dearborn, the wood trim on glass panel windows was deteriorating, Len Lombardo recommended preserving the trim with an aluminum trim.  Work was completed in one day with great professionalism.  One window was broken, but Lombardo immediately brought it to a repair shop and paid for the fix.
The trim was sealed with weather resistant caulk, not the best application, but was promised to have this re-caulked when the summer season slowed down.
Len is great to work with, very fair pricing, the window trim craftsmenship was good and they provided an out of the box solution that looks great on our home!
