Competition is high so the price of labor is low. My name is Matt, I am a professional painter and I work solo. Many call themselves PAINTERS, but few are PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS! Residential work is my specialty. What sets me apart from most painters is my willingness to do ALL the necessary prep work to make the finished result as nice as possible. I do custom work, for a fair price. First, he provided an estimate after looking at the spaces. Then he took time to conceptualize a strategy so he could maximize time.
Matt prepped the rooms by laying down dropcloths and plastic to not only protect against a mess, but also to protect us from having to breath in any dust from the sanding he did on our stairwell. He also took care to not leave items out that my young child could get into.
After prepping the walls and trim, he painted the walls and did a great job. It was beautifully applied. He also took the doors off of their hinges and cleaned the hardware and painted the doors.
Finally, he installed 2 new ceiling fans, three light fixtures, and a bunch of new switchplates. I didn't have one of the lights ready, so he came back when I did have it and installed it.
Matt did a great job. He's clearly very detail-oriented and that was much appreciated!
