"I was called by this company only minutes after putting the job on Angie's list. Shawn offered to come out the same day to give an estimate on a tree we needed removed. He was there within the short time frame he promised. Once they started the tree removal, I was highly impressed with the work ethic. Neither of them stopped until the job was done. It took two days to complete because it was a large tree, only two men, and the weather was less than optimal, but they were both there on time and ready to work. To me they appeared superhuman from the amount of hard, heavy, laborious work they were able to complete so quickly and safely. Will recommend them to everyone I come across that needs any tree work and will definitely call them for myself if any work needs done in the future."

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. Any cutting of tree roots can hurt or kill a tree, which is why it's recommended you don’t do it unless the roots are damaging or invasive on a nearby structure like your home. If it is green, it is still alive, but if several are dry, brittle, and brown, the tree may be dying or dead. Always consult an arborist before assuming your tree is dead because you may be able to save it.

You can never truly stop a maple tree from growing taller, but you can rein in its growth by pruning. Proper pruning helps maintain a safe size for your tree without causing permanent damage. It’s important to start pruning a tree while it’s young, long before it becomes a problem. Otherwise, you may be left with too many hazardous branches to remove at once.
