"The team had such a lack of regard and care for my home and personal belongings, that I am actually extremely concerned about the parts of the job that I cannot see behind the walls and in the attic. The team did not clean, move, cover anything as promised by the sales team and advertised on the website. Many of my kids toys, wagons, strollers, and some tools were ruined. Some of the toys were thrown out and I spent hours cleaning and scrubbing my garage. The application of the foam itself was also a disaster. The foam leaked through the recessed cans and into the bathroom fans, since they were not appropriately covered. There was full material on my carpet in the bedrooms. The fans had to be replaced. The company did ultimately repair the drywall in the garage, but cannot replace the hours of work I personally had to do in cleaning up their mess, and fixing the light cans, bathroom fans, cleaning the carpet."

If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.

The most obvious con of injection foam is the cost. It’s much more expensive to install than fiberglass or spray foam, but it may be your only option (unless you want to remove entire walls around the home). Insulating a detached garage won't reduce your home's heating or cooling bills—and insulating an attached garage will only have a small effect on your home's energy efficiency. However, insulating an attached garage can reduce the transfer of heating and cooling to and from the outdoors, which can reduce the amount of energy your home needs to stay comfortable. Also, having an insulated garage is just more pleasant. Balance the cost of insulating your garage with how you'll use the space to determine if the project is worth it.
