"The movers said they would arrive at 8 am, and they did. We had contracted for 3 people to do the move, and three arrived. I thought the truck was a little small for the amount of furniture that had to be moved. The movers assured me they would make the move in one trip, with the truck they had. I was pleased to see they new what they were talking about. The three men were very professional, and worked diligently loading and unloading the truck. We asked the movers to take our old clothes dryer to our next door neighbors house, and to load my wife's kiln on to our personal small trailer. There was no hesitation in their response, and they honored our requests. The three men made it a pleasent move."

"

We have Justine moved a antique refrigerator and stoves from two locations to our house. They did a wonderful job. Not just moved them, also wrapped everything very well. We will definitely use them again and recommend to other people.

Piano Moving FAQs, answered by experts

Most moving companies don’t charge by weight or volume unless you’re freight shipping items. The cost of hiring movers typically depends on the number of movers and time spent on the task.

It is best to book a moving company two to three months before your move-out date. This provides enough time to compare rates, organize your belongings, and find an available crew for your desired day and time. While you might find movers with only one or two weeks' notice, some companies require booking up to 90 days in advance.

Planning ahead is especially important if you're moving during the busy summer season when demand is highest. Summer weekends, in particular, book up quickly. Securing your movers well in advance helps you avoid the stress and potential extra fees of last-minute arrangements.

To treat office moving costs as capital expenses, which means recording them as assets, they must meet certain rules: they need to be essential for the business to keep running, directly related to the move, reasonable, and documented properly with invoices and contracts. These costs can include packing, transportation, and setting up the new office. Once these expenses are capitalized, they're treated like assets on the books and gradually accounted for over time through depreciation or amortization.

To prepare for moving a piano, start by documenting its current condition with photos in case of any damage during the move. Secure the piano's lid and wrap the instrument, including its keys and pedals, with bubble wrap and moving blankets for protection. Note that if you have hired professional piano movers, they may handle this step for you.

Next, prepare the space. Measure any tight spaces or doorways to ensure the piano will fit through. Clear a wide path from the piano's location to the exterior door, removing any furniture or obstacles. It is also helpful to prop open doors to make the exit easier.

On moving day, ensure the moving truck can park as close to the exit as possible. For safety, keep children and pets away from the moving area to prevent accidents or distractions.

Professionals can provide comprehensive planning, logistical support, packing services, and clear communication to minimize moving stress. Their experience allows for efficient handling of belongings, ensuring a seamless and organized transition to a new location.
