The movers arrived at the storage facility on time, and wasted no time in filling the moving truck. They were very professional, and handeled my machinery with great care. I had hired this same company the year before to move my household from one location to another. The did such a good job for me then, that I decided to use them again. I wasn't disapointed in my decision.
Description of Work: There were 3 people assigned to move my shop equipment from a storage unit to my newly constructed workshop. The move took abouy 2 hours, and covered about 10 miles.

The hiring and scheduling process was handled by Shannon, and it was smooth and easy to set up the work. The team of 2 movers, Ken and Darnelle, showed up on time. They were pleasant, professional and clearly cared about doing a good job and taking care of our things. They worked promptly and did a great job in a quick and efficient manner. Overall, they did an excellent job and I am planning on using them again to help us move things as part of our move out of state.

The person in the office was very friendly and informative, explained all the details, and called back the day before to reconfirm everything. She said that the movers would be at our house between 8 and 9AM and they arrived promptly about 8:15 and started loading right away. The two men doing the move were very friendly and professional and certainly knew what they were doing, using plastic wrap and padding to quickly and efficiently load everything. When they arrived at the apartment building, they were just as efficient at carrying everything up and putting it in place where directed. When the last item was carried in, I had a hard time believing that all of this was accomplished within the two-hour "minimum" charge time! I would definitely use this company again for a moderate-sized local move.
Description of Work: We needed some furniture, packed boxes, and miscellaneous household items picked up from two locations and moved to a 2nd-floor apartment a few miles away. This was on fairly short notice and had to be done on Saturday over the Thanksgiving weekend.

The office manager, Shannon, was very polite and professional and explained everything clearly. She offered several pick up dates that suit my schedule. She reminded me about the Angie's list discount so I received an additional savings. The movers were on time and called about 20 minutes before arrival to advise they were on their way. Ken and Darnell were very polite and professional. They took time to wrap and protect the furniture. Getting the sofa out of the room was easy for them and down the stairs (compared to the previous movers who scrapped the door jam getting it into the room). They arrived quickly at my son's. The back door walkway was shoveled, but the front walk was closer so Ken & Darnell shoveled the front walkway free of snow (got 12" of snow 2 days earlier). The sofa and accessories arrived in A-1 shape. Thanks MI Solutions!

pros: * the two man crew was on time (actually about 30-45 minutes early, but they called ahead to tell me) * they pointed out furniture damage caused by cross-country shipping before they put the items into their own truck * my mattresses were ridiculously heavy, yet they managed to get everything upstairs without complaining (despite a lot of sweat and strain). cons: * they didn't come with the right tools for the job (a star key wrench, which is a relatively common bed frame item) of disassembling a bedframe; thankfully I had some tools I was able to find in a hurry that they could use. * Most everything seemed to be secured, placed and strapped in (e.g. the mattresses were strapped up against the back of the truck), but one of my lamps shattered while it was in their truck. * speaking of the truck, it's a rickety repurposed UHaul with a magnetic "www.123moveclean.com" sign slapped on the side * the crew has a mininum number of hours they will charge, which the reservation person was up front about when I made my initial call (either 2 or 3 hours, which I knew I was going exceed going in); but on the final invoice I got slapped with an extra hour charge for "travel" time (from where? their homes or where the truck was parked for the night?), which was a little unpleasant surprise. The whole job was four hours (from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and they were on the hourly clock even while they were driving between locations, so was I double paying, or what was this all about? Really confusing.

I and a couple of my friends have used them before and we have had a great experience each time. The last time I was a bit disappointed in the service. Guys arrived on time just like before. Both really hardworking. The only issue was it shouldn't have to take 3:45 hours to move a 2 bed condo (no appliances) over a distance of 1 mile. They were short on tools and plastic wrap which caused the move to last a little longer than I would anticipate. However the price is really reasonable and the people are honest and really hardworking. I would definitely use them again and recommend to friends.

Company was hired to do some basic cleaning to our home prior to listing for sale. Owner arrived, did a walk-through, and gave us a written estimate. We were traveling out of state when an observant neighbor called us to advise the crew was throwing away all kinds of stuff into the side yard. Tried to reach owner, he called my wife and got snotty over the phone - bad career move. Bottom line - we had to call the local police to have the crew removed from the property and advised on trespassing. Wife had to fly back to MI to finish cleaning up the mess they left behind. Brand new steel storm door was dented, a metal filing cabinet had been thrown down the basement stairs, files and photos strewn all over - it was as if they got mad at us for making them leave and took out their anger on whatever was within reach. I don't know where these goons were hired from (perhaps the county work release program?) but if I catch them on my property again I'll arrest them myself.

I am very disappointed to see such a harsh and untruthful review. (Removed Member Name) to my knowledge is a very nice man who I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to a few times during the process of his services requested. We were hired to clean his house and get it ready for the market. I also had the pleasure of meeting the realtor who was in charge of showing us the property on the date of service since (Removed Member Name) were going to be out of state. I usually do not go out with all my crews in the morning to get the day started, but I do randomly pick and chose a crew to tail through-out the day just to make sure production is still at the best quality we can provide. That being said I don't think (Removed Member Name) knew I accompanied the work crew to his house and did the walk through with the realtor. The night before the scheduled service date, (Removed Member Name) called our office and requested we throw out all the remaining trash and miscellaneous items in the house that he mentioned would be thrown out before my crew arrived to clean the property the day I gave him a free in-house estimate. I told (Removed Member Name) " yes, no problem we will take care of that for you." He also designated the empty dirt area on the side of the house is where all the trash should go. So the morning of service I called the realtor as instructed and he met us at the house promptly and we walked around the house to go over details of the services. The realtor also told me that we are to remove all the trash and miscellaneous items and he didn't know why they left these miscellaneous items ( papers, empty boxes, coat hangers, wood pieces, one lateral file, black bags, etc) and trash in the house if they knew we needed to clean. Before leaving the crew to get started working, the realtor and I make sure that the crew is aware of these details and we all are on the same page. I called (Removed Member Name) to let him know that everything is taking place and running smoothly, he says "Great thanks Leo!" About a hour later I get a irate phone call from who I'm assuming is (Removed Member Name) wife at the time yelling at the top of her lungs that she is calling cops if we don't get out of her house and its trespassing and we are throwing stuff out of her house. At this time I'm very confused, so I say " I don't know anything your saying, all I know is that we have a agreement with (Removed Member Name) and what your telling me is something I wasnt aware of and maybe the police should be called to sort out this matter. I rush back to the work site from my office to see exactly whats going on. At that time the police are there and the realtors assistant pulls up shortly after me. The police ask if I was the owner and I said yes, they smile and tell me that they have no idea what is going on but what we do know is the work vehicle is marked with the company name and all the workers in the crew have on uniforms and are cleaning so obviously you all were hired to do a service. I replied "yes", the police then proceeded to say "The wife says you all are throwing away stuff that is hers and I say I have no clue who's it is but its trash that we were instructed by the homeowner to throw out on the side of the house. The police officer smiles at me and says, well I don't see anything wrong with what the crew has done cause this all looks like trash to me, but we do have to instruct you to put all the items back in the threshold of the house because (Removed Member Name) is saying you are trespassing. So we did, we put all the trash back into the side door of the house as the police instructed us to do without stepping foot back in the house since it would be considered trespassing. The police leave, the realtors assistant apologizes to me and the cleaning crew multiple times for this crazy turn of events. We are sort of look baffled and couldn't believe that this really just happened. The fact of the matter is we were let into the house by the realtor, so thats not trespassing. Communication with the realtor and (Removed Member Name) was open and always pleasant. (Removed Member Names) obviosly had a misunderstanding or miscommunication between each other but we shouldnt have never been brought into the middle of this. We were told by (Removed Member Name) to throw remaining items in the house, on the side of the house and also told the same thing by the realtor. How are we the bad guys, I don't know! We followed direct instructions. The police came out, didn't see anything wrong and instructed us to put all the items back in the house at the request of (Removed Member Name) with out stepping foot in the house because she is claiming we were trespassing. The police were just as confused and baffled as my crew, the realtors assistant and myself. Not in a million years did I think something like this would happen to us. We have been providing A rated services for years and this is a incidient that is out of my hands cause we did nothing wrong at all but try to provide a service and go that extra mile for a valued customer. I hold no grudges and even after this untruthful attempt to assassinate our company's reputation I would love to talk to (Removed Member Name) and resolve this matter. I am at a loss for words in this situation because we followed all instructions. The realtor even did a walk through after we left later on that night and said we did a great job despite the limited time we were there due to this bizarre incident. He also apologized to me personally and assured me that this was not a accurate representation of his clients. We look forward to working with the realtor in the near future. We have all "A's" on Angie's list for a reason. We provide top notch service, from trained professionals, that will go the extra mile to keep our customers happy!

The crew was at my house for longer than anticipated but did a lot of extra work very well. I am very pleased with the professionalism and work ethic demonstrated by the entire crew. Both times the three men who showed up to do the job were friendly and professional. Ken does a great job of organizing everything. Moved on Sunday from Okemos to Wixom. The two movers came with a 26 feet truck a little earlier than the appointment time.. Looked at all the and items to be moved and loaded all the boxes first and then wrapped some furniture at no extra cost. The movers said they would arrive at 8 am, and they did. We had contracted for 3 people to do the move, and three arrived. I thought the truck was a little small for the amount of furniture that had to be moved. The movers assured me they would make the move in one trip, with the truck they had. I was pleased to see they new what they were talking about. The three men were very professional, and worked diligently loading and unloading the truck. We asked the movers to take our old clothes dryer to our next door neighbors house, and to load my wife's kiln on to our personal small trailer. There was no hesitation in their response, and they honored our requests. The three men made it a pleasent move.

Due to circumstances, this move was made in three steps. Our moves were made from late November to January during this VERY snowy and icy winter. We initially chose MI Solutions because of positive reviews and because they were able to fit us into their schedule quickly. Their Angie's List coupon also made it more affordable. Each time they sent 2 men and a large enough truck. We could not have been happier. Kudos to Ken, Eric, Tony and Jason. Every time they came, they were professional, knowledgeable, and patient with unforeseen delays. They accommodated our particular wishes with a smile. One trip was to move my mother-in-law into assisted living, safely navigating their truck around a bus of residents in a narrow drive and later navigating her furniture through the hallway around slow moving residents. They could not have been more considerate, kind and patient. They did not lack for muscle, and moved things quickly, carefully and with apparent ease. In the last trip we were considering renting a larger storage unit. Ken was able to safely stack pieces in our smaller unit and we had room to spare. This will save us a lot of money in the months we rent the storage unit. Many Thanks, gentlemen. We will definitely use MI Solutions when we need movers again.

It was my first time using moving service. I got membership of angielist first time and did research and figured out their moving is cost effective. The moving staff of two guys were very efficient, professional and fun to work with. They did not waste any time and some disassembling and assembling of beds as well. Elegant items like TV and glasses were not taken in their truck as per their advise but they helped my load those stuff in my minivan and unload at the destination as well. Over all very good experience.

Staff communicated clearly, explained their services, contacted me when they had a scheduling conflict and were delayed. Available every time I needed to contact them. Cleaning crew were pleasant, cooperative and thorough. Although I felt they were a little expensive, this was the only crew willing to come to a small town and provide me with this service. The distance was over 110 miles round trip(the crew actually drove about 200 miles round trip from a previous job). This may have added to the cost. Other providers who were in a much closer radius(under 25 miles) were unwilling to consider the job because it was a small home, rural town and probably wouldn't lead to other business. I was very glad this company was willing to accept the job and did a great job in preparing the home for listing/viewing.

Leo the owner gave me a fair price over the phone and said it would be in the range of 4-5 hours based upon what I had told him over the phone. He was able to squeeze us in with only two days notice for a Saturday move on Memorial weekend. Leo came out prior to the move and surveyed the items in our home (I had requested a desk also be added). He confirmed the price would be based on a 5 hour move and that he would bring 4 men to speed up the move for us, but only charge for a two man move. He explained that his guys wanted to get their holiday weekend started early and I was completely comfortable with it because he stayed with his original agreement and price range. Leo also explained that he had a coupon on Angies List- I told him I wasn't a member, but would now look at joining to get the discount from him. Here I am an Angie's List member! Prior to his arrival to do a walk through and confirm our moving price, I asked Leo if his movers had carpet protection. He explained that unless we request it before his movers depart for their jobs that they will not have it on the truck with them. I understood and planned on making other arrangements at our new place. When he came out- he surprised us with a roll of carpet protector! A nice gesture on his part. The only downside to this move was that while we were expecting the movers to show at 4:30ish, they were held late by the prior move of the day and arrived around 6:45. Later than we hoped to start, but it did give us time to grab dinner and prep better for the move at both houses. When they arrived, the movers were in good spirits and introduced themselves by name- Rasheem (Loader/Driver), Austin, Banard, Eric and another gentlemen who just said "I am the fifth guy and here to help so I did not catch his name. They did a walk through of our place and were a bit freaked out over the size of some of the bedroom furniture, but were pleasantly happy that the moving boxes were all uniform from Lowes (small, med, large). Every time the movers walked by us or had a question about an item, they always addressed us very politely as "sir or ma'am" The move was looking pretty good and we seemed to be on target to meet our time- unfortunately it took a bit longer than planned as a few items of furniture would not fit into the truck. Rasheem told us no problem they will do it in two trips and he informed the crew that they would just have to come back and get the other items. Thankfully we only had a 2.5 mile move. Once we were finally loaded and arrived at the new house, the team listened to my wife's house rules/requests to wear shoe protector booties when they took items upstairs or onto our new wooden floors- they happily obliged. I had ordered some pizza on the way from our old house to the new house and they were very appreciative of that. No sense of entitlement from them at all. We later found out that none of them had time to grab dinner in between moves. Once the snacks were out of the way, the men started to unload the truck. They handled our boxes and furniture very carefully as well as watched not to mark up our newly painted walls or our new wooden floor. After a couple of hours the first load was done and then on to the old house to grab the remaining items. They did that quickly and returned to unload- finally done! Well not quite- they had to put our beds back together as well as our desk and dinner table. The team split up and began to finalize the set ups. This did take long as we did not have the easiest furniture to put back together. We offered water and fruit to them during the move and each of them to a man were extremely gracious and appreciative of our small gesture. We learned a little about each of them during our whole process. None of the men prior to that day had ever worked with each other- they began to get to know one another during our move. Despite the lack of familiarity, they still worked as a pretty good team. In the end when it came time to pay, we gave Rasheem the $385 as promised in our agreement and the men happily thanked us and began to leave. (They didn't hang around waiting for anything more from us). However, I had wanted to thank and tip each of them separately so I had those monies in another envelope in my pocket. These fine men were not expecting anything more than a thank you and it made it all the more worthwhile to give them a tip for their wonderful service. I actually had to go outside and grab two of them to give them their well earned gratuity. My family was extremely impressed by their efforts and the great rate that Leo the owner had given us and stuck to, despite the fact that the move took longer than planned. The guys had all been up since early in the morning working all day and we were their final stop. This was backbreaking work and they earned our respect and admiration for doing it with a smile and a friendly polite attitude. We thank them for making what could have been a stressful day into a pleasant experience. I highly recommend MI Cleaning and Solutions for your move and especially this team of guys. Thank you Leo and let Rasheem, Austin, Banard and Eric know we again appreciate the job well done.

I went with this company because they followed-up & were priced the same as everyone else. I liked the crew they sent - they were great!! They worked hard and got the job done. What I didn't like is they bid the job over the phone and I knew it was going to take ALOT longer to move me. It would have been better if someone had come out to see the house and give me a better quote. Also some of the crew had to leave early the first day of the two day move - which made me unhappy.
Description of Work: They are persistent - they had good follow-up and were priced the same as all the other moving companies. They had a special CASH price of $106 for 3 guys. My move was suppose to take 6 hours - there problem was they UNDERBID the job.

They were on-time, got started right away, very helpful and made a clean move. I had not measured some of the furniture - so there were a few suprises on my part - they did the best they can
