"A tree fell on our garage and was blocking us from getting out, they came out right away and cleared it all away so we could resume our lives! We are so happy with the service we received and they were very nice to work with and the rate was very reasonable. So happy! We will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone that needs this type of service."

Small jobs welcome

"This is the best tree service company I have ever experienced, and i have delt with a few. Their pricing was reasonable, they showed up on time, worked safely and cleaned up beautifully. We had four properties that had tree damage from a storm. Some large trees, close to homes, had dangerous splits up the trunk sections. They engineered the removal in such a way as to have no danger or damage to the homes or surrounding gardens, etc. They took care of all four properties promptly and to the satisfaction of all four homeowners. If you want a professional company with skilled and experienced employees Addison Tree is the company to use. Rick from Oakland Township"

"Josh removed 24 stumps of varying diameter from 18" to 3 feet in a little more than an hour. His price is quite reasonable. Josh is a professional and friendly young man. I plan on calling him again when I drop some more trees."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

Common signs that a tree is rotting include dead branches, a leaning trunk, peeling or cracked bark, leaf discoloration, and the presence of fungi. If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to hire an arborist near you to inspect your tree and determine if it can be saved or if it needs to come down.

Unless there’s some sort of rule in your community’s homeowners’ association that requires you to remove a stump, there’s no law that says you have to take it out. If you’re not wedded to the idea of removing it, there are plenty of ways to get creative with this tree remnant. Using the stump as the medium for a wood carving or turning it into a planter are just two examples of ways to repurpose a tree stump.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.
