With that in mind, it’s best to run your pump during daylight hours to discourage algae growth and ensure proper pool chemistry. Keep in mind you don’t have to run your pump continuously for eight hours. Try running for a few hours in the morning then shutting it off and running it for a few hours in the afternoon.

It’s always better to check with your HOA and town clerk before digging for a new pool. Otherwise, violations could result in hefty fines.
