Hello, my name is Tyler! I have been working in residential construction for the last seven years. Primarily in renovations, I have developed many hands on skills and acquired many of the tools it takes for the job. I am very comfortable working inside or out of a house. I would love to take a look at any renovation work you have!

"Searched for handyman service for variety of projects. Found one through Home Advisor/Angi app that serviced the area of the home that needed repairs. Called Dakota who told us she works for Tyler Handyman Service and given her the basics of the scope of repairs need. She provided us her phone number for contact. She was also given a copy in PDF form of the repairs for reference. On 10/14/23, Dakota said she was going to the house about 1-130pm. She was given the lockbox code for access since house is vacant. She texted that she need to get some supplies from Home Depot and then provided a picture of the receipt for reimbursement and provided her Venmo QR code. My boss, Joy, reimbursed Dakota for those expenses. Dakota said she was going back to the house to take care of the few items. She was to do a removal of a heater in the kitchen, but was not done. The homeowner eventually removed it themselves. Locks on the windows were not correctly installed-hence the windows cannot open, and did not do any of the storm windows repair or installed. Dakota said she will need to go back on Monday 10/16/23 at 11am. I sent her a reminder on Sunday night 10/15/23 without a response. I texted and called on Tuesday 10/17/23 and Wednesday 10/18/23 with out a response. Goes to voicemail and then mailbox is full so unable to leave any messages. I have tried calling Tylers Handyman Service and the phone number is no longer in service"

"Nels and Chris did an amazing job refinishing our hardwood floors. They are professional, knowledgeable, and the end result is fantastic. They use eco-friendly products and a dustless sander which meant no mess in our house while they worked. Nels came out to quote the job, and was the one here everyday working. They are so passionate about their work and loved finding what was hiding under our beat up original floors. They did such a beautiful job bringing them back to life. I am so glad we chose Sandii Bros!"

No one wants a job done twice. Our mission here at OCD is to get the job done Right The First Time! The name does imply some obsession. We primarily focus on Custom Home renovations including full bathroom renovations, kitchens, flooring, trim, basements, and attics. We do offer other projects such as decks, backsplashes, custom wooden fencing, and bedrooms. We do not offer electrical, plumbing, or HVAC services à la carte, but those services can be provided by licensed subcontractors for larger projects. You would like stuff built, we like to build stuff the right way, together we can complete your project(s) correctly. We look forward to being a little OCD about your project(s) on your behalf. Thanks, talk soon.

"We hired Alex to install our kitchen backsplash. It was a small job in terms of square footage, but by no means was it easy. The tile we chose was an arabesque shape and very fiddly to work with, as the tiles were not mounted on a mesh backing sheet and each tile had to be cut and set individually. This was no problem for Alex, and he even finished the job early. The man is professional, meticulous, and highly skilled. My backsplash is perfect and it is gorgeous. Every time I walk into my kitchen, I can't help but smile. We will soon be replacing the flooring in our entire house, and we won't consider hiring anyone but Alex for the job."

Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

Dry rot or severe water damage may warrant a replacement, but you don’t always need to replace damaged subflooring. If your subfloor has warped because it was installed incorrectly, you can sometimes shim the panels (in other words, add a thin, wedge-shaped piece of wood to level the surface). If your subfloor bows upward, you may be able to sand it down at the joist so it’s level, depending on the extent of the damage.

Carpeting with a low pile is both slip-resistant and soft, making it one of the safest types of flooring in the case of slips and falls. In order to be fully ADA-compliant, carpet shouldn’t exceed the thickness of half an inch, and you should secure the edges to the floor to prevent trip hazards.

Other ADA-compliant flooring options include hardwood, laminate, or ceramic tile with a gritty, anti-slip surface. Ceramic or porcelain tile are actually some of the best types of flooring for wheelchair users.

Installing carpet padding is mostly a matter of measuring the room and cutting the carpet pad to size with a utility knife. You can save some money on carpet installation costs by doing it yourself. Before installing the carpet padding, you should install the tack strips around the room’s perimeter and prepare the subfloor by cleaning and making any necessary repairs. Then, unroll the carpet pad and cut sections as needed. Staple the carpet pad to the subfloor along the edges, leaving the tack strips exposed.

Most DIYers can learn how to remove carpet although it’s time and labor-intensive. However, if you have glued-down carpet and are concerned about damaging the substrate below, it's best to call a professional carpet remover. Also, removing glue-down carpet is more work than dealing with wall-to-wall carpet because you have to get rid of all traces of the adhesive from your subfloor to prepare it for a new installation.

The best flooring materials for a mudroom are porcelain and ceramic tiles. Both are easy to clean and maintain, and they're also water-resistant and highly durable. If you're not a fan of those types, you can also choose another nonporous flooring for your mudroom, such as stone or sealed concrete. Stay away from linoleum, cork, hardwood, and engineered wood, as water and moisture in your mudroom will damage these quickly.
