Pricey given quality of work - toilet installed incorrectly, bathroom door installed incorrectly, glaring wall finish issues and many more. Responded to criticism unprofessionally and was unresponsive to follow-up requests after checks were cashed.

Job was slow to start but finished only one week late. Encountered some minor issues that were corrected after I pointed them out to the workers.

Jason and the crew did a great job. They were very professional and personable as well. They were able to complete the job in a timely manner and made sure it was done right. There was a problem with the hardwood floors separating,, but they quickly came out and fixed the problem. They do quality work and stand by it. When it's time to redo the bathroom, they will be getting a call.

I had them to repaint because it was pealing. They said it was not their fault and it was the paint fault. The paint people said it was not their fault and because the bathroom was too small. That was annoying. Other than that, they were absolutely phenomenal.

Job went well. Some unexpected problems with the wiring behind walls. Drove the cost up a little but they made sure the job was done right. Had to have them come back to do some repair work on the hardwood floors. The floors separated a little bit due to a lack of humidity in the house. Wasn't their fault, but they had no problem fixing it for us. Very professional, hard working and trustworthy. They also did a full finished basement for my parents which turned out fantastic. They may cost a little more, but you definitly get what you pay for.

They did a great job. They always showed up when they said they were going to show up. When they were going to be late, they called. The workers who actually did the work were very trustworthy. We felt like we could always leave them there. They always locked up and cleaned up after themselves so we never came back to a messy house. They were excellent.

They're fine and they're good. They got a job done reasonably at a time and it went well.

Jason and his primary assistant, Dustin, did a complete renovation of the living area (kitchen, living, dining, laundry). Switched windows, removed a wall, added doors, completely rearranged and updated the kitchen, and turned an ugly ceiling into a focal point. Through it all, they were professional, pleasant, creative and smart. When there was a question of color or design, the collaboration was pleasant and helpful.  I would recommend them to anyone.

It went very well in fact.  Jason and his crew were very respectful in my home not only with their conversation with me but how they spoke to each other as well.  Even the music that they listened to while working was not rude or crude.  They came when they said they would.  They always cleaned up after each day's job.  And, they didn't damage my home anywhere else in the process.  Jason had no problem redesigning the plumbing, removing a huge tiled built-in bathtub and steps, and installing a shower with a European glass door and glass on top of 1/2 walls which permits more light into the shower.  Another 1/2 wall was built for privacy and a taller style toilet was installed.  12 x 24-inch ceramic tiles were used on the floor and on the walls of the shower.  Travertine was used for the baseboards and for the sills on the 1/2 walls of the shower.  My old stained sink cabinet was reused and now sports a golden Venetian granite countertop and white sink.  A single-handle Delta faucet was installed that operates with just a touch on the handle or base.  Lovely!  Even the kahki-colored paint blends very well with the tiles and countertop chosen.  I am very pleased with Jason Catlin's work and would hire him again in a heartbeat.  Matter of fact, a problem arose where the soap dish in a shower bath upstairs was not maintained and the water from the shower leaked into the half bath below.  Now there is mold behind the soap dish behind the wall.  I will be very happy when Jason can return and remediate the mold in the bathroom and rebuild what needs to be done.

It was awesome!!  Jason and his crew, Vince and Dustin, showed up on time every day, expertly installed the new shower stall and tile, and even completed the job ahead of schedule.  Jason worked patiently with us as we made changes to the original plan.  He and his crew were very courteous at all times.  There are no buts--every aspect of the job went smoothly and we have no negative comments to make.  If and when we need additional work done, Jason Catlin will be the only call we make.

Outstanding work performed by the owner Jason Catlin and by two associates, Justin and Vince.  All work exceeded expectations in every respect.  Confidence factor was high and set from outset enabling us to all them free access to our property including several periods when we were not at home.
Important to note that this work was stretched out over several weeks because road repair denied automotive access to our property for two weeks starting the first day of our contract.  As a consequence, the team had to park a good city block away and hand truck and carry all their tools and supplies in.  All this done with no complaints and otherwise not one disagreeable interaction for the term of the project.
This firm and individual members have already been heartily referred to others seeking quality and competent contract work and will definitely be referred again.

Our kitchen looks good if you don't look too close.  Cracks in backsplash tile, gouges in newly refinished hardwood floor, cracks in frames of cabinets, large gap between molding and wall on "custom pantry" and the list goes on........
Jason Catlin is more about "good enough" than quality work.
Not only did he make numerous mistakes, he never pointed any of them out.  Like drilling a hole in the wrong spot on our cabinet door and choosing to fill it with crayon stick instead of replacing door!
When we pointed out some of these issues he argued with us and acted insulted.
In the end we accepted the "good enough" work because we were already one and a half months past the estimated time to finish.
We wish we could tell you that he did the right thing in the end by compensating financially.......but we can't

Very good experience.

Jason Catlin was very quick to return our initial phone call. He came out to assess the job and take measurements. We got estimates from 4 different companies for the job. Jason's was not the lowest or the highest. He won us over with his presentation. His company was willing to do all the work so we didn't have to piece things out.
I picked out cabinets from a KraftMaid line. They are all wood construction with the quiet close doors and drawers. I couldn't be happier with their look or function. The countertop is granite. The back splash is travertine. The floor is a hand scraped bamboo.
The cabinets were ordered in December. Work began a few days before the cabinets arrived. Vince and Dustin were working at our home Monday through Fri for about 3 weeks. They were very professional and hardworking. Any question we had or any changes we wanted were quickly addressed by one of the 3.
Our home is over 30 years old and it has a lot of flaws but the kitchen/dining room is not one of them. The kitchen turned out quite beautiful. Better than we imagined. We will use Catlin Construction in the future because of the quality work we've seen first hand.

Catlin construction completed the remodel of my upstairs bathroom in March, 2012 and I was completely satisfied so I asked them to replace the doors, moulding and trim in my home in August, 2012.  I hired Jason and his team again in September 2012 to remodel my downstairs bathroom, laundry room and repair water damaged walls and ceiling in my family room.
I was completely comfortable with Catlin Construction being in my home, Jason, Vince and Dustin were very respectful of my home and took care to cover carpet, minimize dust from traveling throughout my house via tarps, etc.  I was comfortable leaving the workers in my home when I had to step out.  The same three workers competed all of the projects and knowing the quality of the work and their professionalism, it was an easy decision to hire Catlin Construction for subsequent jobs.
