Woodworking
Dan moved the gas, water and venting for the wash tub, washer and dryer from the basement to the first floor. The facilities were moved from their original locations in the basement approximately forty feet to the new through floor accesses. This involved cutting through the sill for the wall next to the mud room for gas, and plumbing. It was necessary to cut a four inch diameter section out of the floor and basement block for the dryer vent.
The electrical outlet was preexisting. The wall sill plate had to have holes drilled for individual hot and cold water lines for the washer and wash tub. They each required a drain hook up also. The dryer needed a vent to the outside. Dan had to cut into the hot and cold water lines, the gas line and the sewer line.
Dan also took out an eight foot section of a non-load bearing wall separating the fifteen by twenty foot living room and adjacent twelve by seventeen foot room. Because of the odd shape of the southeast corners he extended the common wall to meet the wall perpendicular to it creating a small closet by doing so. Dan mudded and sanded the opening and had to add two four by eight foot dry wall sections to enclose the closet.
The work was excellent. We're very happy with the quality of the work and Dan's professionalism.; We will be doing more remodeling in the kitchen after January First. Dan will be doing that too.
